Our fourth EDQ topic will be about the Queue and a bit about what happens during the editing process. Agony will be spearheading this one. :) Reply #21. Apr 13 13, 11:52 AM |

Goody gumdrops! Can it have something in there about the additional steps taken for someone "on probation" please? Reply #23. Apr 16 13, 7:27 AM |

Any 'steps' in regards to 'probation' have been discussed a bit in the Plagiarism topic as well. Regardless of if you have a past of cooperation with the editors, non-cooperation, or anywhere in between (including plagiarism), queue operations remain pretty much the same. This will be looked at in greater detail on Saturday though. Reply #24. Apr 16 13, 9:06 AM |

We will be addressing what people "on probation" can do. However, we will not be discussing individual cases. Reply #25. Apr 16 13, 1:58 PM |

Eburge is hosting this Saturday's EDQ about 'The Guidelines'. It ties in nicely with the proceeding EDQ in June. ;) Reply #29. May 13 13, 2:26 PM |

Sorry to intrude, but I have a question relating to quiz writing and can't work out where to post it.... Is it possible to limit the length of questions? Personally I find it incredibly irritating (particularly when playing a timed game) to get questions that are a paragraph long. I end up scanning a couple of lines and then trying to guess an answer, but that all seems very unsatisfactory to me. Marc Reply #39. Jul 01 13, 1:16 PM |

That's why there is a limit on the length of single questions, and more and more those are the ones you'll be seeing in timed games. Personally, I'm not willing to discourage an author's creativity just so the question will work better in a tournament. I do, though, tend to encourage formatting the question so it's fairly easy for a player to dig out the "nugget" of the actual question. That may mean, however, that a rushing player may miss a vital clue, and them's the breaks. Reply #40. Jul 01 13, 1:25 PM |
