This was for the World Lanmarks challenge but it also fits here with Malaysia. (Thanks to looney_tunes for pointing it out!) https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/World/On-Top-of-the-World-Petronas-Towers-399172.html Reply #122. Dec 29 19, 1:50 AM |

BigTriviaDawg has provided the second quiz for the DMZ, so we may see a new destination shortly. How exciting - we've been stalled here for a while. (And I'm nearly caught up.) https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/History/The-Korean-Demilitarized-Zone-399942.html Reply #125. Jan 07 20, 6:35 PM |

We certainly will see a new destination, and it's a fair jaunt south to Australia! Our long-awaited next destination is the city of Brisbane on the continent's eastern coast. The largest city of Queensland, it's one of the most liveable destinations on the planet and acts as a gateway to the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast. Away we go! Reply #126. Jan 07 20, 7:19 PM |

I had fun writing the DMZ quiz and I learned a TON. I am probably not alone with the minor frustration of lower ranks for harder to write quizzes. Seems crazy that the most superficial quiz I have written (and easiest) is my highest ranked and the few I spend 20 plus hours on are middle of the road average. I really don't care all that much about sunglasses but rather don't want a well written quiz at the bottom of the pile where no one will see it or play it. No doubt I am beating the horse that died almost 20 years ago (sorry). It certainly won't stop me from writing the more substantive quizzes. They are the ones I enjoy playing. Australia huh? My heart goes out to the folks down under. It is depressing looking at a map that shows where the fires are currently raging. It is not just the south eastern corner but much of the island. Pretty scary. Reply #128. Jan 08 20, 6:25 AM |

At this point in time, there are literal oodles of quizzes on the site, so the fight is a tough one, especially until new quizzes get a certain amount of players. The more a quiz is played, the much better gauge one will have in determining where their quiz really ranks. I've said for a long time that the best approach is not to let it weigh on you. Good quizzes are good quizzes, and sometimes they take a bit of time to get their due. ;) Reply #129. Jan 08 20, 9:11 AM |

Finished with the DMZ, and heading to Brisbane. I think I already see another quiz for that stop, so we may be moving forward pretty quickly. :) https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Television/M*A*S*H-Match-399998.html Reply #132. Jan 11 20, 3:58 PM |

There's no shortage of things to see in the Land Down Under, so we're going to extend our stay in Australia with a trip to Far North Queensland. Home to the city of Cairns, this reach of the country is also the site of the Great Barrier Reef and the Torres Strait. We make our twelfth stop here before we move along to a new continent. Here's my Brisbane quiz. Far North Queensland will almost certainly not be ready before the weekend - it will need some significant research (and I sometimes get so involved in the reading that I forget to stop and write a question). https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Sports/Brisbane-Battlers-400014.html Reply #135. Two quizzes online in Queensland makes our trip to Australia come to an end (except for any of us who still wish to write there). In the meantime, the itinerary is taking us across the Pacific as we fly to the city of Phoenix, the capital of the U.S. state of Arizona and one of the largest cities in the country. There is zero shortage of topics to look into for this destination from its sports teams to its surrounding deserts to its culture to its name. Feel the heat; write a Phoenix quiz! Reply #137.
