And with that we head to the penultimate destination on the itinerary: St. John's, Newfoundland. This capital city of Canada's easternmost province sits on the Atlantic Ocean. It's windy, often cold, and situated on a rocky bay, and while you may think it's a weirdly inhospitable port, it's a historical treasure trove. Maybe this is the chance to talk about Quidi Vidi or Beacon Hill or 'The Rock'? Reply #141. Jan 24 20, 9:02 AM |

I am quite sure I am not responsible for both of the quizzes - Joepetz should be acknowledged for the first one. Reply #142. Jan 24 20, 3:04 PM |

'Signal Hill' was submitted last night. It's Australia Day today, so I have a holiday tomorrow, and could write another quiz this weekend. Should another destination happen to appear. :) Reply #145. Jan 25 20, 7:19 PM |

And then it's a hop across the Atlantic to our final destination; we're bringing our globetrotting trip full circle by returning to Italy. There were no flights to Lombardy, but it turns out airfare is cheap to Venice. For this final stop we're going to take a gondola down the Grand Canal, and if you want to submit a quiz for this destination you're free to float around all things Venetian. Reply #147. St John's is online. https://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/World/Signal-Hill-400147.html I called a halt to floating down the Grand Canal in order to watch Rafa Nadal and Nick Kyrgios going head to head at the Australian Open. It will finish well past my bedtime, so the last few questions on that quiz have to wait for another day. Reply #149. Jan 27 20, 4:01 AM |

I submitted La Festa Mascherata (The Masquerade Party) to World for Venice. I may or may not do something for St. Johns. Reply #150. Jan 27 20, 11:52 AM |

And Sightseeing on the Grand Canal has also been sent to World. I might do something more lateral on Venice, next weekend when I have writing time again. Then again, I may get a totally different inspiration before then. Reply #151. Jan 28 20, 5:15 AM |

As a note, and I know it's long overdue, Globetrot Trivia 4 will be closing to new submissions on July 31 which is still a bit away (not TOO far though). GT5 will commence in July alongside Lounge Anniversary Month. :) Reply #160. Jun 17 20, 3:44 PM |
