The secret to straight shootin is all about the breathin. You gotta relax, and make sure you got an iron that feels right in your hand. Here, try my Colt Trooper, see if it fits. Feel the weight, mold your hand around the grip and heft it around a little bit. If that don't feel like yours, try my Colt Diamondback, they're both .38's but they feel a little different. When you aim it should feel like you're just pointin with your hand, like that thing BELONGS to you. Breathe calm, nice and steady like, aim, and then hold your breath just afore you squeeze. Hey, nice, well done! You take your pick and keep hold of it for a while, I got spares. Reply #41. Jul 23 19, 2:03 PM |

Bit off thread.........or maybe not.........a true story:- 1963/64 I worked in armory at a navy base in Malta......as well as our weapons, some privately owned guns were kept there, among which belonging to Captain's Secretary (a Lieutenant) was a replica 1850 pattern Navy Colt. The Lieutenant was going back to UK and wanted to use up ammunition and black powder before he went and invited me to have a go with it on pistol range. The distance to target was around 10ft..........I took aim.........there came a loud BANG, and a cloud of black smoke. To this day I have absolutely NO idea where the ball went.......just know where it didn't go........the target was unmarked and still in pristine condition! Ahh well................Lol Reply #42. You're not alone, I'm here with John Wayne's horse Dollor, ready to back you up Josey. Gather round, all those that have the gumption to battle them varmints. Let's get ready to rumble! Reply #51. Jul 24 19, 1:37 AM |

I have sourdough starter, and I know how to keep it alive, even on a cold winter night. I also know how to kill it, making me doubly-deadly. And, I'm armed with more than that, so you might want to sleep with one eye open tonight, Pards. I'll steal your horses, and I'll rob your... that doesn't sound right. Hold on. Honey, you don't want to know what kind of awful stuff has kept me down and out for so long. You really do not. But I am happy as two hogs in mud to be back! I think I had best go to Page 1 and read all about the goin's on in these here parts before I even think about baking those biscuits, though. I kind of just jumped right into the middle of this fray. Sorry about that. But my Sourdough Biscuits can soothe anything that even thinks it might be savage. Add some butter and huckleberry jam, and you'll be down on one knee, begging for my hand. But forget that, I need both of them. Reply #56. Jul 24 19, 4:22 AM |

Oh My God! It's Josey Wales! Wasn't that little dude in "Deadwood," too? Probably not, but he sure looks like one of them. Now I have to know... Reply #59. Jul 24 19, 6:11 AM |
