I am from Norway, and I have made a quiz to set everybody straight on all things Scandinavian, with a Norwegian bias.

The theme here is "cut", which in some form or other pertains to every question.

Whatever your Latin level - neophyte, expert or dilettante (like me) - I hope this quiz will offer at least a modicum of delectability for your cerebral capabilities.

One day while driving, I put on a CD containing a compilation of "Country Classics". The titles and lyrics were so full of place-names, I thought it could make a quiz, so here it is. The name of the performer is included in brackets for each question.

Poetry, claret, small cigars, gravy stains, a disreputable old hat and a passion for justice. What do you know about John Mortimer's finest creation (in my humble opinion), barrister Horace Rumpole? May contain a couple of spoilers.

The title comes from an Author Challenge. Since it can only refer to the wrock band or to Ron Weasley, I opted for a Ron quiz (if you want the other one, write it yourself). All the questions are about "The Half-Blood Prince".

This is an Author Challenge quiz, on people who were (or are) mostly real and mostly dictators, with just one linguistic question thrown in for good measure.

"Jerusalem" is a poem and a song which is immensely popular in England. Because it is a very fine text, a beautiful piece of music and a remarkable cultural phenomenon, I think it merits a quiz.

"Cuffs" is a BBC police drama from 2015, following both patrol officers, detectives and "top brass". Having watched at least a few episodes is probably necessary to score well.
