Disappointingly, this is a group of fully-dressed men posing under a false name. They had hit songs in the '90s like "One Week" and "Old Apartment".

Sometimes they have performed variations of the theme song with different lyrics, such as lyrics mentioning the characters and lyrics mentioning the days of the week the show is on. Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

REM, Stone Temple Pilots, Sum 41

Professor Proton, played by Bob Newhart, first appeared in the episode "The Proton Resurgence". He was a children's TV performer who had a show when Sheldon and Leonard were kids and they both loved him. They found out he could be hired to do private parties, and Sheldon hired him to come over to the apartment.

He did a few experiments with Sheldon, Leonard and Penny; Sheldon and Leonard were of course both familiar with all the 'tricks' Professor Proton could perform and the science behind them, but Penny learned many new things. When Sheldon asked Professor Proton to "do potato clock", they explained to Penny that Professor Proton could power a clock with a potato. Penny couldn't believe it. A bit later, the Professor experienced a problem with his pacemaker, and Penny asked if the potato might be of use.

Bob Newhart reprised his role as Professor Proton, a.k.a. Arthur Jeffries, in a few more episodes; the character died in season 7, but reappeared in season 9 as an apparition to Sheldon. Difficulty: Easy.

While paired up for a scavenger hunt arranged by Raj, Howard and Amy realized they had a mutual liking for the music of Neil Diamond. At the end of the episode, it was revealed that Amy and Howard gave up on the scavenger hunt to sing Neil Diamond songs at the Cheesecake Factory. Difficulty: Easy.

Later in the series, however, Amy constantly wants to have sex with Sheldon. Difficulty: Easy.

This is given to Leonard fairly early on in the series in a flashback and is put upside down when the apartment is in distress. It has happened once, when Leonard almost blows up the apartment, so Sheldon goes to the refrigerator and turns the flag upside down. There is also a pin/badge that goes along with the flag. Sheldon describes it as "a gold lion rampant on a field of azure". Difficulty: Hard.

 

Purple, Teal, Yellow

Sheldon is suffering from Howard not accepting his apology so he tries soothing his problem with alcohol. Howard later accepts his apology when Sheldon gives Howard his cushion to his spot on the couch. Difficulty: Hard.

Sheldon and Amy met in the episode "The Lunar Excitation". Howard and Raj certainly never expected to find someone like Amy. While not exactly like Sheldon, who would think there would be two people in the world so much alike! Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

Sheldon and Amy met at a university mixer., Leonard set them up., Amy was a friend of Penny.

I used the phrase "Gradually appearing" because according to Executive Producer Bill Prada, "Leonard Nimoy's first appearance on "Big Bang" was as DNA on a napkin. For this episode, we are delighted to hear his voice. We look forward to introducing Mr. Nimoy, body part by body part, over the course of many seasons to come."

Played by the hilarious, uber-talented Jim Parsons. Difficulty: Very Easy.

It's been pointed out in several episodes that Howard 'only' has a Master's degree (in engineering), while his three best friends all have PhDs. One example of Howard being singled out as having less education occurred in season two's "The Griffin Equivalency", when the guys' boss, Dr. Gablehouser, entered Raj's office while Howard, Leonard and Sheldon were there, and they all greeted each other:

Raj: "Dr. Gablehouser."
Dr. Gablehauser: "Dr. Koothrappali."
Leonard: "Dr. Gablehouser."
Dr. Gablehouser: "Dr. Hofstadter."

This can be seen in the season two episode "The White Asparagus Triangulation". Leonard was seeing Dr. Stephanie Barnett and Sheldon was spending a lot of time with Leonard and Stephanie. When Leonard left Sheldon a note saying that he and Stephanie were going to the movies, Sheldon took that as an invitation to join them and tracked them down. He told them to wait while he found seats (even though Leonard and Stephanie were already sitting). Sheldon then sat in various spots in the theatre, making "Ha!" noises and listening to the acoustics in the room. It turned out that Leonard and Stephanie were already sitting in the 'acoustic sweet spot'.

He figures out the exact centre of the room., He measures an equal distance from the screen and the concession stand., He inspects the floor for the spot that's the least sticky.

When Sheldon's sister, Missy, came to stay she asked him if there was anything she wished to tell their mother. Sheldon mentioned that she may like to know that he had switched to studying heterotic string theory from bosonic string theory. His sister, who their mother had previously called "dumb as soup", clearly didn't understand.

Sheldon would most likely be horrified even at the suggestion that his specialty was astrology. He once ranted to his neighbour Penny (who introduced herself as a Sagittarius) that "...it tells us that you participate in the mass cultural delusion that the sun's apparent position relative to arbitrarily defined constellations at the time of your birth somehow affects your personality". One of the many lines uttered by Sheldon, played by Jim Parsons, that has had me roaring with laughter.

I remember watching the opening scene of the pilot episode for 'The Big Bang Theory' for the first time and remember grinning to myself as the first conversation was about Young's double slit experiment. I knew right then that I would love this programme! Difficulty: Easy.

 

Thermodynamics, Newtonian mechanics, Astrology

All of these nerdy guys have think Penny is pretty hot stuff, but Leonard was the only one who actually was able to get a date with her. Unfortunately for Leonard there is never a second date and Penny soon moves on, believing she isn't smart enough to date him. Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

Sheldon, Jake, Wolowitz

After Sheldon knocked and called out for Bernadette three times, Penny said "Come in!" He told them he had nowhere else to be, so they could continue this as long as necessary. They told him to just come in and he did. He was there to tell them he was thinking about having sex with Amy for her birthday. Difficulty: Hard.

 

Sheldon left., Sheldon came in anyway. , Sheldon knocked again, shouting for Penny.

Penny dances to the song "Man, I Feel Like a Woman!" which seems to fit her personality very well. Sheldon is not happy to see this in his apartment. Difficulty: Hard.

 

Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera

Cinnamon is Raj's Yorkshire Terrier, given to him by Howard and Bernadette in season 5 in "The Transporter Malfunction" when Raj was depressed about his love life. Raj spoils Cinnamon to death and loves her a lot. Emily started dating Raj in season seven.

Howard came up with 'Emily or Cinnamon' in season eight's "The Anxiety Optimization". The premise was simple - Howard recited a direct quote he'd heard Raj say, and the others had to guess whether Raj originally said that to his girlfriend Emily or his dog Cinnamon. Some of the quotes included "It's just so perfect that we're both Libras" (that was to Cinnamon), "I want you to know, the bed feels so lonely when you're not in it" (also Cinnamon), and "A man can care deeply about a woman and a pet - it's not strange" (that one was to Emily). Difficulty: Hard.

 

Lucy, Doctor Who, Crazy Lady

Raj bribed Sheldon with his "Green Lantern" lantern in order to get Sheldon to go to a university mixer with him and be his wing man. Sheldon took the "Green Lantern" lantern with him and it got them a date with two women, Abby and Martha. When Raj got a second date, he bribed Sheldon a second time with Raj's "Incredible Hulk" hands. Sheldon went along. Raj hit it off with his date, Abby, but Sheldon left his date, Martha, alone in his bedroom while he slept in Leonard's bed. Difficulty: Easy.

 

The Flash suit, Iron Man mask , Captain America shield

Sheldon says that Howard shot him in the back right before Penny invites them to a Halloween party. Difficulty: Hard.

 

Penny, Raj, Leonard

Penny had 99 tickets for this show and, on the phone to a friend, she offers her one ticket, then asks if she knows 98 other people! The play's director wants to use the sounds from the bowling alley, to represent the German Artillery. Difficulty: Easy.

Throughout the episode "The Euclid Alternative", Sheldon constantly needs someone to take him somewhere. He later gets his driver's permit but is really awful at driving so he continues not to drive. His friends never take him to Pottery Barn so he just decides to keeps the sheets. Difficulty: Hard.

In "The Friendship Contraction", Howard and Raj tried to come up with a good nickname, though Howard said he wasn't the one who would get to choose, the other astronauts had to give him a name. After proposing the nicknames Buzz (taken) and Crash (inappropriate when flying into space), they agreed that Rocket Man would be a good nickname and came up with a plan to get the other astronauts to call him that: Howard would change his ring tone to the song "Rocket Man" and the next time he was videoconferencing with the NASA guys, Raj would call him so they'd hear the song. The plan backfired though; while Howard was on webcam with Dr. Massimino, his mother yelled for Howard to come down for breakfast because his Fruit Loops were getting soggy. 'Fruit Loops' became Howard's 'cool' nickname. Difficulty: Easy.

 

Crash, Cosmowitz, Tin Man

The meeting took place in "The Lunar Excitation". Sheldon had previously found the dirty sock on the roof and, being the supreme germaphobe, freaked out until one of the guys took it away. Difficulty: Hard.

 

Howard gave Sheldon his prized Hulk hands., They convinced Sheldon it would be a great science experiment., They threatened to tell Sheldon's mother.

We hear Sheldon's mother, Mary, call Sheldon 'Shelly' many times in different seasons of 'The Big Bang Theory'. Difficulty: Easy.

 

Smartie, Munchkin, Shel - shel

The dart board must be one of the only commonplace items in the apartment! A good look around will unearth props ranging from an electromagnetic spectrum chart, a 17 base pair DNA model, an antique fuse holder to a "Batman" cookie jar, a "Battlestar Galactica" toaster and a Periodic Elements shower curtain!


Difficulty: Hard.

Played by the cute, sarcastic, and funny Johnny Galecki. Difficulty: Hard.

Leonard, who was dating Penny at the time, wanted to learn about football so that he could hang out with her and her friends while they watched games and have something to contribute to the conversation. It was then revealed that Sheldon knew a surprising amount about the game, having grown up in Texas with a sports-loving father. Sheldon also mentioned that he knew a lot about frying meats that aren't chicken as if they were chicken, another popular thing to do in Texas. Difficulty: Easy.

 

Sushi-making, Driving, Poetry writing

In season one's "The Hamburger Postulate", Leslie Winkle (played by Sara Gilbert) invited Leonard to join the string quartet she played with, as Leonard was a cellist and the group needed one. Leonard was a bit reluctant at first, as a couple episodes earlier he'd asked Leslie out and was shot down, but he went ahead and joined the group. He ended up hooking up with Leslie and wanted to pursue a relationship with her, but she wasn't interested. Difficulty: Hard.

 

A Scrabble team, A book club, A Sherlock Holmes enthusiasts' group

Sheldon's roommate, Dr. Leonard Hofstadter, is obsessed with their neighbour, Penny who was originally from Omaha, Nebraska. When the character of Penny was first met, she was an aspiring actress who had to work in a cheesecake factory to pay the bills until she fulfilled her dream.

Leonard was Sheldon's social encyclopedia, his guide to social conventions and linguistic subtleties. Howard Wolowitz and Rajesh Koothrappali were both friends of Leonard and Sheldon whilst Eric Gablehouser was in charge of the physics department at Caltech. Difficulty: Very Easy.

In this episode, "The Justice League Recombination", the gang was planning to attend a New Year's Eve costume party at the comic book store and dressed up as the Justice League of America. Penny and Zack were invited to join them, giving the group a fighting chance to win the top costume prize since they'd have Zack as a handsome Superman and an actual female to be their Wonder Woman. Just before leaving for the party, Penny became upset and locked herself in her apartment. The guys took turns trying to talk to her. When it was Sheldon's turn, he knocked over and over very fast, to simulate The Flash knocking thousands of times extremely fast. It did get Penny to open the door, to ask him what was wrong with him. Difficulty: Hard.

 

He was being chased by teenagers., He had seen a dog coming up the stairs., He was locked out of his apartment and needed to use the bathroom.

The next thing Raj says as "as my girl Beyonce says 'If you like it, you shoulda put a ring on it.'" He says this to Leonard after Leonard tells his friends that Penny is having a musician friend sleep in her apartment.

This isn't the only time in the series Raj is revealed to be a fan of Beyonce. In season 5, Raj brings a disc titled "Beyonce Bootylicious Remix" into the car for the guys (and later Penny) to listen to. It turns out not to be Beyonce at all, but seeing as it was a re-writable disc, it can be assumed Beyonce's music was on the disc at some point. Difficulty: Average.

 

Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson, Nicki Minaj

In "The Opening Night Excitation", Amy's birthday coincided with opening night of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". The guys planned to go to the movie, but Sheldon decided being with Amy on her birthday was more important. When asked about his plans for a birthday gift for her, Sheldon shocked Penny and Bernadette when he told them he planned to "have coitus" with Amy. In a major event in their relationship, they went through with it. Sheldon ended up enjoying it and said he would like to do it again on Amy's next birthday.

Meanwhile, Leonard, Howard and Raj went to the "Star Wars" movie with Wil Wheaton, who showed up dressed in a "Star Trek" costume. Difficulty: Hard.

Dennis Kim was introduced to Sheldon and Leonard by their boss, Doctor Gablehauser. Sheldon felt disturbed by Dennis Kim when Dennis negated Sheldon's work. In doing so, this made Sheldon depressed. With the help of Raj and Howard, Leonard got Dennis to concentrate more on girls than science, ruining Dennis Kim and making Sheldon happy again. Difficulty: Hard.

 

India, China, Spain

Leonard asks Sheldon not to embarrass him at Penny's party and as an example, Leonard tells Sheldon not to tell people that his middle name is Leakey. Difficulty: Average.

 

Drooley, Dummy, Joel

Sheldon gets all these cats, not realising that they are a acting as a substitute for Amy. He tells Leonard, that one cat is called Zazzles, because he is Zazzy! It then takes a visit from Sheldon's mother to sort things out with him and Amy. Go Mrs Cooper! Difficulty: Average.

 

Razzles, Dazzles, Frazzles

Leonard and Penny went out on a date at the end of the first season, but things didn't progress any further after Penny revealed that she hadn't graduated from community college. Leonard told her that he didn't mind dating someone not smart and being called not smart didn't go over well with Penny.

After that, Leonard decided to pursue a relationship with Leslie, with whom he'd previously had a one night stand. After that, she hadn't wanted to date him but in season two's "The Codpiece Topology", she agreed to give it a try. They had a few dates, mostly at Leonard's apartment, much to Sheldon's irritation. Sheldon even approached Penny about giving Leonard another shot, just to get rid of Leslie. In the end though, Leslie and Sheldon got into an argument about whether or not loop quantum gravity (Leslie's preference) had more validity than string theory (Sheldon's preference). The trouble came when Leslie looked to Leonard for support. After he sided with Sheldon and string theory, she broke up with him, in part because "How would we raise the children?!" Difficulty: Average.

 

Evolution vs. creationism, "Star Wars" vs. "Star Trek", Pro choice vs. pro life

In the episode "The Hamburger Postulate", Leonard plays his cello with Leslie Winkle in a music group. Afterwards Leslie stays to engage in late night activities with Leonard. Difficulty: Very Easy.

In "The Adhesive Duck Deficiency", while all the other guys were away on a camping trip, Sheldon was in his apartment when he heard Penny calling for help. He found her in her bathtub and Penny told him that she slipped. Sheldon explained, a bit unnecessarily, that "tubs are slippery" and said that he has a "series of whimsical duck stickers" on the bottom of his tub as an anti-slip mechanism. Despite his reluctance to drive, he did take Penny to the hospital in her car and filled out the forms with her. For the question "How did the accident occur?", Penny told him "You already know that", and Sheldon then said and wrote, "Cause of accident - lack of adhesive ducks". Difficulty: Hard.

 

Penny doesn't understand physics, Possible coitus injury, Messy apartment

In return for dating once a year, she is able to use her mother's George Foreman grill. Wouldn't it be easier to buy her own George Foreman grill? Difficulty: Very Easy.

 

Penny talked her into going., She wanted to meet Sheldon., She was looking for someone to father her baby.

Raj loses his prized Patang kite after Howard runs after a lady who 'winks' at him. Difficulty: Hard.
