Comedian Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 9, 1966, in the Bensonhurst neighborhood. Adam is best known for his years on "Saturday Night Live", which is recorded in New York City, and a hit movie career. In 2023, he was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.

Patrick Swayze was born in Houston, Texas, on April 18, 1952. Until the age of 20, Patrick attended elementary, middle, high school, and even Junior College in his birth town of Houston. Patrick was an actor who broke through in Hollywood for playing the role of resort dance instructor Johnny Castle in the 1987 coming of age film "Dirty Dancing".
In the film, he was not only the lead actor to Jennifer Grey, Patrick released "She's Like The Wind" on the movie soundtrack. The song went to the Top Ten of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart.
4. Curt Schilling
Curt Schilling was one of the most dominant right handed pitchers in Major League Baseball from 1988 to 2007. He became a member of the illustrious 3,000 strikeout club, a Holy Grail for starting pitchers. Curt was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on November 14, 1966.
He was born to a military family so they moved around during his childhood. He attended high school in Arizona. As of 2025, only eight Major League players had ever been born in Alaska.
5. Brian Wilson
Founding member of the Beach Boys Brian Wilson was born in Inglewood, California, on June 20, 1942. Brian grew up in Hawthorne, California, where he showed a love for music early on, and taught himself how to play piano. He attended Hawthorne High School and was quarterback of their football team. The California based rock band loved to sing about the surf, sand, and California girls.
6. Phil Knight
Phil Knight was one of the two men responsible for the founding the Nike franchise. He was norn in Portland, Oregon, in 1938. Knight ran track at the University of Oregon and teamed up with coach Bill Bowerman to buy Blue Ribbon Sports. They renamed it Nike and began selling running shoes. Knight is a philanthropist and a multi-billionaire.
7. Chris Farley
Chris Farley was a movie star and cast member of "Saturday Night Live" from 1990 to 1995. Farley was born in the state capital of the Dairy State, Madison, Wisconsin, on February 15, 1964. Farley went to Marquette University in Milwaukee and first discovered improvisational comedy at the Ark Improv Theatre in his birth town.
