Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. World Scouting Movement
Answer: Bear Grylls
Edward Michael "Bear" Grylls was born in the UK in 1974, and became famous for achievements in the outdoors and extreme sports. He climbed Mt. Everest at the age of 23, and became Chief Scout of the UK in 2009, the youngest Briton to achieve both of those milestones as of those dates.
The position of Chief Scout is largely ceremonial, but the UK tends to appoint people who have been active in Scouting as either a youth or adult leader. That is in contrast to the US, where the sitting President is the Chief Scout.
2. UNICEF
Answer: Audrey Hepburn
Audrey Hepburn was a famous British actress, and the winner of many acting awards. Born into an aristocratic family in 1929, after WW2 her family depended on charity for food and medicine, an experience that made her sympathetic to charitable causes.
Audrey served as a Global Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) from 1988 until 1992, even while battling the cancer that would take her life in 1993.
3. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
Answer: Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is a prominent American movie actress and filmmaker, winner of an Academy Award and a Tony Award, among other accolades. Beginning in the early 2000s, she conducted over 60 field missions to areas of conflict in support of the UNHCR.

4. No Kid Hungry
Answer: Viola Davis
Viola Davis is an American actress of screen and stage, and a winner of the coveted EGOT: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Awards. She grew up in poverty, and joined No Kid Hungry to address the issue of childhood malnourishment in the U.S.
This issue worsened during the 2020-2022 COVID pandemic, when Davis was quoted as saying, "The uncertainty of where your next meal will come from is a scary thing, and it consumes every waking moment you have. I still remember what it was like-the stigma attached to it and the shame. That's what so many families are going through right now."
5. Imagination Library
Answer: Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton is a music writer and performer, mainly in the Country Music genre, but she was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. True to her roots, Dolly Parton has focused much of her philanthropic work on the poor mountain communities of American Appalachia.

Answer: Larry the Cable Guy
Comedian Dan Whitney, better known as Larry the Cable Guy, started as a radio host and gained fame as a standup comedian and a member of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour with other comedians that focused on American working-class issues.
