Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Knott's Berry Farm

California is home to many theme parks including Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park. In 2015, the park estimated that they had four million customers and ranked top twelve in the United States for customers. One wild ride is called Ghost Rider that reached 118 feet high and was at one time one of the longest and tallest wooden roller coasters in the world.
2. Cedar Point

With names like Steel Vengeance, Top Thrill 2, Magnum XL-200, and Millennium Force, you know the Cedar Point theme park is home to some of the ultimate roller coasters in the country. The Top Thrill 2 ride alone is described as a triple-launch stratacoaster, a ride reaching over 400 feet high, with both a vertical spike and reverse spike.

The park is located in Sandusky, Ohio next to Lake Erie and sports over sixty roller coasters.
3. Hersheypark

Skyrush and Storm Runner are two of the park's biggest and fastest roller coasters found in the city known for chocolate, Hershey, Pennsylvania. Skyrush has been nicknamed "thigh crush" as you're strapped into the ride and experience sustained negative G-forces that press the support rod into your thighs. Storm Runner features a 135 foot cobra loop, a dramatic dive, and the ride comes to an abrupt stop.
4. Universal Islands of Adventure

Universal Islands of Adventure has become one of Orlando's favorite theme parks outside of the Kissimmee's Disney World complex. One famous roller coaster at Universal is the Harry Potter themed Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. For those looking for a more intense experience, the Jurassic World VelociCoaster was considered the fastest roller coaster in Florida in 2025.
5. Dollywood

Dolly Parton may be incredibly sweet but some of the roller coasters at her theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, will get your blood pressure rising. Lightning Rod is a wooden launch coaster that quickly ramps up to 45 miles per hour and features some massive drops. Mystery Mine is another ride that concludes with a vertical drop leading into two inline twists, and a plenty of hang-time at a high speed.
6. Six Flags Great America

Six Flags Great America is in Gurnee, Illinois, a little north of Chicago, Illinois. The park calls itself "the thrill capital of the Midwest". The legendary American Eagle wooden roller coaster was built in the 1980s. If you want to experience life flying like a bat, you can take on Batman: The Ride.

It was the world's first inverted, outside-looping roller coaster and can reach 55 miles per hour.
7. Sea World San Antonio

When it opened, the world's tallest and fastest screaming swing ride was found at Sea World San Antonio in Texas. Tidal Surge launches riders 135 feet in the air at 68 mph as they dangle over the park's water ski lake. The park's tallest roller coaster is called the Steel Eel and riders feel a drop of fifteen stories on the hypercoaster.
8. Silver Dollar City

If you're traveling near Branson, Missouri and looking for a little adventure, Silver Dollar City might be the park for you. The park opened in 1960 and features a throwback to the 1880's feel to the theme park. While the park does not feature the highest or fastest roller coasters in the country, there are rides like the Time Traveler that feature a non-stop spinning experience on a roller coaster that is sure to get you disoriented and still experiencing three inversions and a 95 foot tall vertical loop that is not for the faint of heart.
9. Six Flags America

Six Flags America was located at Woodmere, Maryland and not too far for Washington D.C. The theme park took on the "America" name due to its location to the capital. Once one of the premiere theme parks in the U.S., the park officially closed at the end of 2025 after a fifty year run. Superman's Ride of Steel was the legendary coaster that was Six Flags America's biggest draw.

The ride has a clone version of it at their sister park, Six Flags Darien Lake in upper New York.
10. Noah's Ark Waterpark

Sometimes adding in the element of water can turn a roller coaster into a new experience. Noah's Ark Waterpark is found in Wisconsin Dells. The area is known for some incredible water parks and Noah's Ark doesn't disappoint. One notable ride is the Black Anaconda which runs for over a quarter of a mile. Riders are on a raft on the roller coaster and experience being "swallowed and spit out" while reaching speeds of thirty miles per hour.
