Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Jirafa

Jirafa/giraffe: 🦒

Giraffes live in Africa and are the tallest animals in the world. They have very long necks and legs, which help them reach leaves high up in the trees. Even though their necks are so long, giraffes have the same number of neck bones as humans - seven! Their spotted coats make each giraffe unique, just like fingerprints make each person special.

Giraffes live in groups called towers, and they spend most of their time eating leaves from acacia trees. They don't need much sleep and can even nap standing up. Baby giraffes, called calves, are already taller than most people when they are born. Watching giraffes move gracefully across the grasslands is a lovely sight.
2. Mono

Mono/monkey: 🐒

Monkeys live in Africa, Asia, and Central & South America. They're clever animals that love to climb and swing through trees. They use their long arms and tails to balance as they move from branch to branch. Some monkeys even use their tails like an extra hand to grab things! They live in groups called troops, where they play, groom each other, and look out for danger together.

Monkeys eat lots of different foods, like fruit, leaves, insects, and nuts. They are very curious and often explore their surroundings to find something new. Baby monkeys love to cling to their mothers as they travel through the forest. With their playful energy and funny faces, monkeys are some of the most entertaining animals to watch.
3. Oso polar

Oso polar/polar bear: 🐻‍❄️

Polar bears live in the Arctic, where it is very cold and snowy. Their thick white fur and a layer of fat called blubber help them stay warm in freezing temperatures. They are so well camouflaged that they can blend into the ice and snow.

Polar bears are excellent swimmers and can travel long distances across icy waters. They mainly eat seals, which they catch near the sea ice. Baby polar bears, called cubs, stay close to their mothers until they are strong enough to explore on their own.
4. Niña

Niña/girl: 👧

A girl is a young female child who loves to play, learn, and explore the world around her. Girls enjoy many different activities, from reading books and drawing pictures to running, climbing, and playing games with friends.

Every girl is unique, with her own talents, and personality. As they grow, girls discover new skills and interests, and when they leave school they can become anything they want, from scientists to artists, athletes, or explorers.
5. León

León/lion: 🦁

Lions are powerful animals often called the 'king of the jungle', even though they live mostly on grassy plains. Male lions have big, fluffy manes that make them look strong and majestic, while female lions are excellent hunters and do most of the hunting.

Lions live in family groups called prides, where they work together to care for their cubs and find food. Their loud roars can be heard up to five miles away, letting other animals know who's in charge. The vast majority of wild lions are found across Africa and a small population of Asiatic lions survives in India's Gir Forest National Park.
6. Cebra

Cebra/zebra: 🦓

Zebras are animals with black and white stripes all over their bodies. Each zebra's stripes are unique, just like fingerprints, so no two zebras look exactly the same. Their stripes help protect them by confusing predators when they run together in a herd.

Zebras live on grassy plains and eat mostly grass. They are fast runners and often stay close to each other for safety. When they gallop across the land, their stripes make them look like moving patterns, which helps keep them safe from danger. Zebras are native to Africa.
7. Pingüino

Pingüino/penguin:🐧

Penguins are birds that cannot fly, but they are amazing swimmers. They use their wings like flippers to glide quickly through the water and catch fish. Their black and white feathers look like a little tuxedo, which makes them very easy to recognise.

Emperor penguins live in cold places like Antarctica, where they huddle together to stay warm. They waddle on the ice and slide on their bellies for fun. African, Humboldt and Galápagos penguins live in warmer places. Baby penguins, called chicks, are covered in fluffy grey feathers until they grow their adult plumage.
8. Elefante

Elefante/elephant: 🐘

Elephants are the largest land animals in the world. They have long trunks that they use to drink water, pick up food, and even greet other elephants. Their big ears help them stay cool in hot weather, and their tusks are used for digging and protecting themselves.

There are two types of elephants, the African and the Asian. The African elephant is the larger of the two. Elephants live in family groups led by the oldest female, called a matriarch. They are gentle giants that love to eat grass, leaves, and fruit. Baby elephants, called calves, stay close to their mothers and are cared for by the whole herd.
9. Guacamayo

Guacamayo/macaw: 🦜

Macaws are large, colourful parrots with bright feathers in red, blue, yellow, and green. They are very smart birds and can make loud calls to talk to each other. Some macaws, which are kept as pets, can even mimic human words, which makes them fun to listen to.

Macaws live in tropical rainforests, where they fly high above the trees. They eat nuts, seeds, and fruit, using their strong beaks to crack open hard shells. They often stay in pairs and are known for their playful personalities.
10. Árbol

Árbol/tree: 🌳

Trees are tall plants with trunks, branches, and leaves. They give shade, shelter, and food to many animals. Some trees grow flowers or fruit. Evergreen trees, like pine, spruce and fir, stay green all year long and are used as Christmas trees. Trees like ash, elm, oak, birch and sycamore, are deciduous, which means they lose their leaves in autumn.

Trees are very important because they clean the air and help us breathe. They can live for hundreds of years, standing strong through every season, and they make the world a healthier, more beautiful place.
