Answer: Hedgehog

Sensible and kind-hearted, Tansy becomes Abbess of Redwall. Her two friends are Cracklyn and Piknim, and they are helped in their search for the Pearls by Rollo.
2. Which sort of animal is Emperor "Mad Eyes" Ublaz?

Answer: Pine Marten

Ublaz loves the finer things in life but views himself as perfect and cannot abide dirt. He is unpopular on the Isle of Sampetra, and will stop at nothing to get his paws on the six rose-coloured Pearls of Lutra.
3. What sort of animal is Rollo?

Answer: Bank Vole

Recorder of Redwall, Rollo helps Tansy and her two friends to search for the Pearls. Rollo also appears in the novel "Mattimeo", set many years before the events of this book.
4. Which sort of animal is Sagitar Sawfang?

Sagitar Sawfang has the uneasy job of being Ublaz's right-hand rat - until she betrays him after he threatens her life.

Lask the Monitor General intended taking them back to Sampetra, but Viola escaped when the Abbot threw her into the sea. She was found by Martin and was taken back to Redwall, but snuck back to the search-party because she didn't want to return without the Abbot.
