Where the stripe on a badger's head is usually white, Sunflash's is yellow. This was how he got the first part of his name. He is also as quick as lightning, and his weapon is the giant warclub he calls his mace.

2. Who is the worst bad guy in this book?

Answer: Swartt Sixclaw

Swartt has six claws on his left paw, which was left terribly damaged and useless for life after Sunflash escaped from his bullying. Finally, he was killed when the brave badger threw him from a mountain top.

Skarlath was a kestrel who was saved by Sunflash when Swartt Sixclaw wanted to kill him. They became travellers together, and Skarlath saved Sunflash many times, as he could see enemy movements from the air and always brought the news to Salamandastron. He is revealed by the Infirmary sister Withe. He meets his father and dies protecting Bryony from him. When she returns to Redwall with her friend Togget, Abbess Meriam predicts that Bryony will become the next Abbess.
