In 1899, Slovenia was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The underground post office is located in Postojna Cave at roughly 500 metres from the cave's entrance. It was created to serve the huge demand from tourists who wanted to send postcards with a unique cave postmark. In 1927, the post office was expanded which remains operational today for visitor to send special postcard.

Postojna Cave was officially opened to the public on August 17,1819. It is one of the world's most visited caves. The cave is equipped with a double-track railway where visitors can experience thrilling train rides to explore the extraordinary beautiful underground landscape. About 5.3 km of the cave system are opened to the public.

The Ottomans fought on the side of Germany and Austria-Hungary. In 1918, the Arab and British forces captured Damascus, ending the 400 years of Ottoman rule.

Uyghur is the main ethnic group about 45% of the population. They are mainly Muslims. Han is about 42% of the population. The province is the largest gas producing region in China. Xinjiang, Tibet and Inner Mongolia are three of the five autonomous regions in China. The other two are Guangxi and Ningxia.
