When you think dance music, the California rock band Van Halen likely wasn't the first choice you imagined. But on their second album, "Van Halen II", the band released the song as a single. It was more melodic and featured less guitar theatrics. It was also Van Halen's first song to hit the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 and reached number fifteen.

"Murder On The Dancefloor" was one of the most played singles on European radio in 2002. Sophie Ellis-Bextor released the single on her 2001 debut album along with a cover of Cher's "Take Me Home". "Murder On The Dancefloor" shot back up the charts in 2024 and reached number two on the UK Singles chart after being featured in the film "Saltburn".

Tallchief is American, Dvorovenko is from Ukraine, and Ananiashvili was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. But Alessandra Ferri was born in Milan, Italy in 1963. She began her dance training at Teatro alla Scala, the legendary opera house in Milan before finishing her training at the Royal Ballet School in London.

The prima ballerina was honored for her career achievements by a statue of Ferri dancing as Juliet being added to the Royal Ballet School.

"Dance Dance Dance (Yowash, Yowsah, Yowsah) topped the US Billboard Dance Club Song chart and reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1977. Chic featured Nile Rodgers on guitar and Bernard Edwards on bass. Together with Tony Thompson on drums and Norma Jean Wright on vocals they released their first single "Dance Dance Dance". Chic also released other disco classics including "Everybody Dance", "Le Freak", and "Good Times".

In the 1930s, Carolina Shag was created to accompany the beach music famous along the South Carolina coastline. It's been described as a six-count partner swing dance to uptempo rhythm and blues. Shag dancing's origin is traced to North Myrtle Beach. Dino Thompson, an original Carolina Shag dancer, said they wanted to create a dance "like we talked to girls at the beach, laid back, slow and easy."

"Magic Mike" told the story of a male strip dancer from Tampa, Florida. The 2012 movie was directed by Steven Soderburgh and starred Channing Tatum as Michael "Magic Mike" Lane. In the third film of the trilogy, Tatum returned for "Magic Mike's Last Dance" in 2023. The film co-starred Salma Hayek Pinault.

Answer: Dance With My Father

"Dance With My Father" was co-written by Luther Vandross and Richard Marx. Luther released his touching single in 2003 on his final studio album. The lyrics began with "Back when I was a child before life removed all the innocence. My father would lift me up and dance with my mother and me". Celine Dion covered the song as a tribute to Luther at the 2024 Grammy Awards. Celine then released her version on the 2005 album "So Amazing: An All-Star Tribute to Luther Vandross".

Answer: Remember The Time

"Remember The Time" was released as a single on Michael Jackson's "Dangerous" album in 1992. The second single from the release was promoted with a big budget music video that starred Magic Johnson and Eddie Murphy as an Egyptian pharaoh and Iman as Queen Nefertari. In the video, Michael appeared as a hooded wizard sent to entertain royalty.
