Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How many villains can you choose from when playing Disney Villainous?

Answer: Six (6)

The player pawns have unique shapes and colours that represent each of the six villains. Each villain also had a different artist illustrate their cards which means each has a slightly different twist to the classic Disney 'look'.
2. Which of these villains is NOT one of those playable in the original Disney Villainous game?

Answer: Claude Frollo

Although he may appear in a future expansion, the sanctimonious villain from the 'Hunchback of Notre Dame' is not included in the original game. Jafar, Prince John, and the Queen of Hearts however are all options to play.
3. The box cover for Disney Villainous is green and features the shadow of which villain?

Answer: Maleficent

Maleficent is one of the playable characters in the original game box and her horns make for a distinctive shadow on the cover! Green is also the colour that features on Maleficent's cards and player board.
4. Each villain has four locations on their board. In which location do you place your villain pawn at the beginning of the game?

Answer: Furthest left location

The location furthest to the left usually depicts the villain's home. For example, for Captain Hook this location is the 'Jolly Roger'.
5. Which villain has a location called 'Hangman's Tree'?

Answer: Captain Hook

'Hangman's Tree' is locked and isn't able to be visited at the start of the game. The player can unlock the location by finding and playing the card called 'Never Land Map' from Captain Hook's villain deck.
6. What is used as "currency" in Disney Villainous?

Answer: Power

Power is mostly used to pay the cost of cards in the player's hand. These cards can be played when the villain visits a location with the correct symbol and they will help the villain to achieve their objective.
7. Which type of card from the villain deck is the only one allowed to be played during another player's turn?

Answer: Conditions

'Condition' cards can ONLY be triggered by another player meeting certain criteria e.g. having three or more allies in play, or having a certain amount of power.
8. In order to interfere with other villains' plans, players can choose an action where they draw two cards from a separate deck and choose one. What is this action called?

Answer: Fate

The deck the cards are drawn from is called the 'Fate Deck' and contains heroes, effects, and items which will make it more difficult for the villain to complete their objective. The protagonists from the Disney movies (Ariel, Aladdin etc.) are usually the most powerful cards in this deck.
9. Which villain may interact with heroes that include Dormouse, Caterpillar, and Dodo?

Answer: Queen of Hearts

Other heroes in the Queen of Hearts' 'Fate Deck' include Alice, White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, March Hare, and Cheshire Cat.
10. In order to win the game, which villain's objective is to start the turn with at least 20 power?

Answer: Prince John

In Robin Hood, Prince John is greedy for money and power so his objective is to simply hoard as much power as he can. His 'Fate Deck' however is filled with heroes and effects which make this tricky to achieve!
