That is Parthy in "Show Boat", right before Gaylord marries Magnolia. Parthy tells Cap'n Andy Gaylord is a murderer. He replies, "I murdered a man once." Parthy replies with this line, and faints dead away.

Answer: The Most Happy Fella

That is Marie in "The Most Happy Fella." Her brother, Tony has just been in an automobile accident on the way to meet his mail order bride, Rosabella. Marie protests that Tony has been shot full of morphine to dull the pain, and is in no condition to marry anybody.

This is Charlie, at his marriage to Jean in Brigadoon. As Brigadoon has no Minister, couples marry each other under the general supervision of Mr. Lundie, the schoolteacher. After exchanging vows, Charlie shyly confirms the marriage by asking this line.

This is Charity in "Sweet Charity." After Charity's farewell party at the Fandango, the ballroom where she worked as a Taxi-dancer, she and Oscar go to City Hall for a civil wedding ceremony. However, Oscar has gotten uncomfortable with Charity's past (as on display at the ballroom) and begins to ask several questions about her past sexual history. Charity tries to end this discourse with this line, but unfortunately, does not succeed.

Answer: Camelot

This is Guinevere in "Camelot". After she finally agrees to marry Arthur and live in the magical world of Camelot, he informs her that had the marriage not taken place, Camelot would have invaded her country. This line is her response.
