Jassy was part gypsy, and her strange powers affected all who came into contact with her.

Winston Graham was one of the most successful writers of the 20th century and wrote a total of twelve novels in the "Poldark" series which was set in Cornwall. A TV mini-series based on these books was also very successful and popular.

"The Razor's Edge" gives an insight into the thoughts and soul-searching of a Word War I veteran whose journey takes him eventually to India and Nepal. It was made into a film starring Tyrone Power on his return from World War II, and then recently a re-make starred Bill Murray, and displayed his talent for serious acting.
