Jerry Bruckheimer began his producing career in the 1970s as an associate producer, before founding his own production company. He produced multiple movies over the course of the 1980s and 1990s before dropping the first in the blockbuster franchise "Pirates of the Caribbean" in 2003. That series spanned five movies and 14 years, with the final instalment hitting theaters in 2017. The Nicolas Cage movie "National Treasure" was also produced by Bruckheimer, who paired with Cage again after the two worked together on the 1997 film "Con Air."
Bruckheimer didn't just produce action movies, he also dabbled in producing sports movies. His best known production in the sports film category is "Remember the Titans," the football film based on the real life events that happened at T.C. Williams High School in 1971. Denzel Washington starred as head coach Herman Boone, who coached T.C. Williams the first season of integration of schools in Virginia. Bruckheimer also produced "Glory Road," starring Josh Lucas, who played Don Haskins, who lead the first all-black basketball team in collegiate sports to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 1966.
Steven Spielberg produced "Indiana Jones," "Lincoln," and "Jurassic Park." The "Marvel Cinematic Universe" began in 2008 with Robert Downey Jr. in "Iron Man," produced by Kevin Feige. "Star Wars" was created and produced by George Lucas, who used three different directors for his "Original Trilogy." Lucas also worked with Spielberg on "Raiders of the Lost Ark". the first Indiana Jones movie, working with Harrison Ford, who also starred in the "Star Wars" franchise.
