Qin Shaobo as Yen the acrobat and Carl Reiner playing Saul Bloom, an elderly con man, rounded out the eleven.

Other cast members included Julia Roberts as Tess, Danny's ex-wife, and Andy Garcia as Terry Benedict, owner of the casino to be robbed and Tess's current partner.

The film was directed by Steven Soderbergh and ended up becoming one of the top-grossing movies of 2001. Its success spawned two sequels, both also helmed by Soderbergh. A third was planned but shelved after the death of Bernie Mac in 2008. A spin-off "Ocean's 8" was released in 2018 featuring an all-women cast for the 8 led by Danny Ocean's sister, Debbie Ocean, played by Sandra Bullock.
