The New Seekers were a British pop group, formed in London in 1969 by Keith Potger, formerly of The Seekers. The group went through several lineup changes but found success in the early 1970s. They represented the United Kingdom in the 1972 Eurovision Song Contest, where they finished second.

'Beg Steal or Borrow' was the song they performed at Eurovision. It was released as a single in 1972 and reached number two in the UK. Other well-known New Seekers singles include 'I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing', 'Never Ending Song of Love' and 'You Won't Find Another Fool Like Me'.
2. 'Been Caught Stealing' (1990)

Fronted by vocalist Perry Farrell, the American rock band Jane's Addiction formed in Los Angeles in 1985. They were a significant force in the alternative rock scene of the late 1980s and are credited with helping to launch the Lollapalooza festival in 1991. The band have dissolved and reformed several times over the years.

3. 'Steal My Girl' (2014)

Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik came together as One Direction on 'The X Factor' in 2010. Zayn departed in 2015, but by then the group had already become one of the best-selling boy bands in history, going on hiatus the following year.

Canadian pop group Len originated in Toronto, with siblings Marc and Sharon Costanzo along with various collaborators. They had a brief period of international success in the late 1990s before largely fading from the mainstream. The group had an eclectic style that blended pop, hip hop and indie influences.

'Steal My Sunshine' was released in 1999 from the album 'You Can't Stop the Bum Rush'. It reached number eight in the UK and number nine in the US. The song sampled Andrea True Connection's 'More, More, More'. Other Len singles include 'Cryptik Souls Crew' and 'Fly'.
5. 'You Little Thief' (1985)

Northern Irish singer Feargal Sharkey was born in Londonderry in 1958. He first found fame as the lead vocalist of post-punk band The Undertones. He launched a solo career in the mid-1980s and found chart success before largely retiring from music. He has since become a prominent campaigner for water quality in UK rivers.

'You Little Thief' was released in 1985 and reached number five in the UK. The song was written by Maria McKee of Lone Justice. Among his other singles are 'A Good Heart', 'Someone to Somebody' and 'More Love'.
6. 'Take the Money and Run' (1976)

The Steve Miller Band is an American rock group. They formed in San Francisco in 1966, fronted by guitarist and vocalist Steve Miller. They were part of the San Francisco psychedelic rock scene before finding mainstream success in the mid-1970s with a string of rock singles. Steve has led various lineups of the band throughout their career.

'Take the Money and Run' was released in 1976 from the album 'Fly Like an Eagle'. It reached number 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song tells the story of two young criminals on the run. Other Steve Miller Band singles include 'The Joker', 'Rock'n Me', 'Fly Like an Eagle' and 'Jet Airliner'.
7. 'Shoplifters of the World Unite' (1987)

The Smiths were an English band formed in Manchester in 1982. Members were vocalist Morrissey, guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce. Australian rock band INXS, fronted by vocalist Michael Hutchence, formed in Sydney in 1977. Michael died in 1997, and the band continued with various replacement vocalists before officially disbanding in 2012.

James Dean Bradfield, Nicky Wire and Sean Moore make up the surviving core of the Manic Street Preachers, formed in Blackwood, Wales, in 1986. A fourth member, rhythm guitarist Richey Edwards, disappeared in 1995 and was legally declared dead in 2008.

'You Stole the Sun from My Heart' was released in 1999 from the album 'This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours'. It reached number five in the UK and was one of the band's biggest chart hits. Other well-known Manic Street Preachers singles include 'If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next', 'A Design for Life', 'Motorcycle Emptiness' and 'The Masses Against the Classes'.
