1. A wife of David and mother of Absalom and Tamar

Answer: Maacah

Maacah was one of a number of wives of David, and the mother of Absalom and Tamar.

It is highly possible Macaaah gave birth to more children, but they are not mentioned in Scripture.

Absalom is perhaps best known for leading a bloody coup attempt against his father David which ended in Absalom's death.

Meanwhile, Tamar had the misfortune of being raped by her half brother Amnon and after the incident there is no further mention of her in Scripture.
2. Cleansed of leprosy by Elisha

Answer: Naaman

Naaman was a "great and honorable" Syrian army commander who was miraculously cleansed of Leprosy by Elisha, a noted prophet of God.

According to Scripture, Naaman was cleansed of the dread disease after he reluctantly followed Elisha's instructions and bathed in the Jordan River seven times.

Naaman opted to visit Elisha on the advice of a captive Israelite slave girl.

After the miraculous cleansing, Naaman proclaimed: "Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel."

For details, see 2 Kings 5.
3. Original name of Esther

Answer: Hadassah

Esther, an orphan, was originally known as Hadassah, as per Esther 2:7. She was raised by her cousin Mordecai.

Scripture goes on to tell of Esther becoming queen of Persia and playing a key role with Mordecai in preventing Haman from carrying out an evil scheme to have all the Jews killed in the empire.
4. Father was 100 years old and mother was 90 when this man was born

Answer: Isaac

The birth of Isaac was a miraculous event. According to Genesis 17:17, Isaac's father Abraham was 100 years old and his mother was 90 when he was born.

Isaac is one of three patriarchs of the Jewish nation. He and his wife Rebekah were the parents of twin boys, Jacob and Esau.
5. Descendant of the tribe of Asher and father of three "mighty men" (1 Chronicles 7:39)

Answer: Ulla

Ulla is a little known Bible figure who is mentioned only once in 1 Chronicles 7:39.

According to Scripture, Ulla was a descendant of the tribe of Asher and he was the father of three dynamic sons -- Arah, Haniel and Rizia.

1 Chronicles 7:40 states Ulla's sons were "choice men, mighty men of valor, chief leaders."
6. Writer of an Old Testament book

Answer: Habakkuk

Habukkuk is the writer of the Book of Habukkuk, one of twelve books that are part of the Minor Prophets section in the Bible.

In the book, Habukkuki urges readers to trust in God in all circumstances as the righteous will be rewarded.

Habakkuk consists of three chapters. In order of appearance, it is Book #9 in the Minor Prophets Section of the Old Testament.
7. A musician who performed when the Ark of the Covenant was taken to Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 15:18)

Answer: Jaaziel

David orchestrated a massive celebration, complete with talented musicians, when the Ark of the Covenant was taken to Jerusalem after it had been captured by the the Philistines.

In addition to special music for the occasion, the celebration featured dancing and sacrifices.

One of the talented musicians performing was Jaaziel who played the harp, as per 1 Chronicles 15:18.

For details about the various musicians, see 1 Chronicles 15:16-24.
8. Follower of Jesus who was married to the head of Herod's household (Luke 8:3)

Answer: Joanna

Joanna is the correct answer. According to Scripture Joanna was one of a number of women who followed Jesus Christ. Her husband was Chuza, the head of Herod's household.

It is not known if Chuza was a believer in Christ. In fact, little is known about Joanna and her husband Chuza as they are both mentioned in passing reference.
9. Selected to replace Judas Iscariot as a disciple

Answer: Matthias

After Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus and committed suicide, Matthias was selected to become one of the twelve disciples.

The selection of Matthias is documented in Acts 1:15-26. He was selected by the eleven remaining disciples over Joseph called Barsabbas.

After Matthias' selection, there is no further mention of him in Scripture.
10. Jewish wife of Roman governor Felix

Answer: Drusilla

Drusilla was the Jewish wife of Felix, a Roman governor. Her marriage to Felix would have been highly scandalous at the time as it was in violation of Jewish law.

According to information gathered on AI, Drusilla left her first husband Gaius Julius Azizus to marry Felix.

She was with Felix when Paul made a passionate case for faith in Jesus Christ. See Acts 14:24.
