Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

There are some who would also include Matthias in this list. He was called into the group after the death of Judas Iscariot. I have left him out of the twelve as he was not called by Jesus.

Some of the apostles have multiple names, which can confuse the issue. For example, Thaddeus is recorded in the list above which, in NLT appears to be his first name. However, in the KJV he's recorded as "Lebbaeus whose surname is Thaddeus". In other places Thaddeus is said to be his nickname and that his first name is Judas, but he's referred to as Jude, to avoid comparisons with the traitor known as Iscariot.

Of the four Gospels, John is the only one that does not list twelve apostles, but he also introduces Nathanael, who is not listed in the original twelve by the others.

The incorrect answers above all represent prophets from the Old Testament.
