1. After only three seasons with Braves, which first baseman was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates?

Answer: Adam LaRoche

The others listed were all Phillies. LaRoche averaged 22 home runs for Atlanta in his three seasons. Adam and a minor leaguer were traded for pitcher Mike Gonzalez and a minor leaguer. The Pirates were still looking to fill the shoes of Sean Casey, who they lost midseason 2006.
2. In a January 2007 trade, the Diamondbacks traded pitcher Luis Vizcaino to the Yankees for which Major League pitcher?

Answer: Randy Johnson

In 2006, Vizcaino had a 4-6 record with no saves for Arizona. Johnson was previously with Arizona from 1999-2004, where he won four Cy Young awards, then spent two seasons in the pinstripes.
3. After sharing the 2006 season with the Orioles and Phillies, Jeff Conine was traded to which team for two minor league prospects?

Answer: Cincinnati Reds
