Answer: 2nd place

Sweden lost 5-2 to Brazil in the final. The legend Pele scored twice in the second half to clinch the final, despite going a goal down in the 4th minute. This final set Pele's reputation.

This World Cup was overshadowed by the 1960 earthquakes. These earthquakes caused structural damage to stadiums which the tournament would have been played. However, Chile came up with new stadiums in time for the tournament. Czechoslovakia qualified but never made it any further than the group stage.
4. Who scored for Czechoslovakia in the first 15 minutes in the 1962 World Cup final?

Shortly after he scored, Brazil's Amarildo equalised. Then there were two goals in the 2nd half by Zito and Vava. Brazil won 3-1 and lifted the trophy for the second time. Garrincha is a Brazilian player, not Czechoslovakian.

He scored 7 goals in all. This was Poland's most successful World Cup at that point. They finished 3rd behind winners Germany and runner-up Netherlands.
