JD Drew was taken 2nd overall in the 1997 draft by the Philadelphia Phillies and did not sign, and was later taken 5th overall in the following year by the St. Louis Cardinals. Stephen Drew was drafted in the first round of the 2004 draft by the Diamondbacks, and Tim Drew was selected 28th overall by the Cleveland Indians in the 1997 draft.

They were the first set of three brothers in the history of the Major League Draft to all be selected in the first round.
