"12 Angry Men" (1997)

The 1997 made-for-television rendition of "12 Angry Men" was, like its 1957 predecessor, adapted from the original 1954 teleplay by Reginald Rose. Can you select the 12 jury members who had in their hands the fate of a young man accused of murder?

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
Answer:

Amongst the most popular actors in 1997, Matthew Perry, Ewan McGregor, Jude Law, Greg Kinnear, and Tom Cruise were nevertheless conspicuously absent in this film.

Based on the same original teleplay by Reginald Rose, the story presented is essentially the same as that of the 1957 ensemble headed by Henry Fonda. In this 1997 adaptation, it is Jack Lemmon in the role of Juror #8 who is the first to question the circumstantial evidence in the case. Knowing the potential for the death penalty for the young man accused of murdering his father, Juror #8 argues for due diligence in determining the verdict. The sequence in which the jurors change their votes in the 1997 adaptation of "12 Angry Men" mirrors that of the 1957 original, as do the characters, who retain their unique personalities and backgrounds:

Juror #9 - Hume Cronyn: The elderly man who is perceptive and reflective.
Juror #5 - Dorian Harewood: The individual with a background in the slums, offering personal insights.
Juror #11 - Edward James Olmos: The immigrant watchmaker who values justice and equity.
Juror #2 - Ossie Davis: The timid bank clerk who gradually gains confidence.
Juror #6 - James Gandolfini: The straightforward and practical house painter.
Juror #7 - Tony Danza: The impatient and indifferent salesman.
Juror #12 - William Petersen: The distracted and superficial advertising executive.
Juror #1 - Courtney B. Vance: The foreman who strives to maintain order and guide the discussion.
Juror #10 - Mykelti Williamson: The outspoken and prejudiced garage owner.
Juror #4 - Armin Mueller-Stahl: The logical and methodical stockbroker.
Juror #3 - George C. Scott: The emotionally driven and stubborn last holdout.
