Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How did Rick die, according to the reports?

Answer: Car crash

In the show, Rick dies when his daughter Fiona is just three years old. Her father's spirit remains, however, and would go on to save Fiona's life as she struggles against the malevolent paranormal.
2. Who does Fi call 'Papa Bear'?

Answer: John Kane

John Kane appears in two episodes, both coming in the second season. In return, he refers to Fi as "Cub".
3. What was the song that the vampire said 'cooked'?

Answer: Origami

"Origami" was the very first song played during season two of the show. Specifically, it plays during the season premiere, "Medium".
4. Fi has an email address. What is the website it's attached to?

Answer: earthsend.net

"Earthsend.net" does exist in the real world, but it is a truly odd website that nobody in the real world would likely feel inclined to base an email address off of. The username Fi attaches to her email is rockbaby, making for an address of rockbaby@earthsend.net.
5. Following his in-show death, a song was made to honor the character Rick Phillips. What song?

Answer: Love is Broken

This song was exclusively played during the season 2 finale of the show in an episode named "Twin".
6. Who was the guest star group in Season 2, Episode 15 ("Destiny")?

Answer: The Moffatts

The Moffatts were a Canadian pop rock band consisting of four brothers: Scott, Clint, Bob, and Dave. Over the years, they have broken up, organized a reunion, retired, came out of retirement, then retired again. As far as this show is concerned, Fiona is their biggest fan and they directly appeared in S2E15.
7. Who did the Will o' the Wisp inhabit first?

Answer: Jack

A malevolent Will o' the Wisp manages to possess Jack in S1E13. It threatens to do so permanently unless Fi is able to figure out the creature's name.
8. What is the song that Molly wrote for her dad?

Answer: The Rock

This song features music by Annmarie Montade with lyrics written by Jon Cooksey. It plays during the season two finale, "Twins".
9. Fi is a public school student. A watchful eye may be able to ascertain what grade level she is in. Which one?

Answer: High school sophomore

Her brother Jack is a high school senior and is two years older than her. As such, Fi is a high school sophomore.
10. Fi and Jack's last name is Phillips. Fi would no longer be the main character in Season 3, giving the baton over to Annie. What is Annie's last name?

Answer: Thelen

In the show, Kevin and Lisa Thelen are Annie's parents. Incidentally, despite not being related to Fi or the Phillips in anyway, Annie too has an email address tied to the strange earthsend.net.
11. What does Fi do every Christmas Eve?

Answer: Dance

Additionally, she remarks on how she's trying to "get the Christmas out" in doing so. It seems Christmas is not Fi's favorite holiday, but at least inspires her to get her cardio in.
12. In one episode, Fi has a cat named P.B. What does that stand for?

Answer: Pea Brain

Not to be confused with the cat 'Meow' which Annie and friends find in Season Three. Pea Brain is, clearly, used with affection and was chosen as a nickname because the cat, on several occasions, nearly gets itself into trouble before something intervenes, usually Fi, to save it from the consequences.
13. Fi meets a guy she finds attractive at the vet's office. What is his dog's name?

Answer: Agamemnon

Agamemnon was the King of Mycenae, with an army of Achaeans he presided over during the Trojan War. Connecting a figure like this to a dog certainly takes a very particular mindset, as many are likely to have no clue who this is.
14. In the episode, "Rebecca", how long did it take for Rebecca to turn one year older?

Answer: 100 years

This was the ninth episode in Season 1. Rebecca claims that her extremely slow aging is due to a genetic anomaly. It's a shame this genetic anomaly doesn't exist in the real world.
15. In the episode "Fathom", where Molly dated a merman, what did the merman give her?

Answer: A pearl

The merman or, more accurately "mermen", are viewed as taboo creatures to be distrustful towards in this show. The merman in this case, Lal Nereus, is indeed concealing his identity as a merman when he dates Molly. It is never revealed what his motive is for doing this, but the relationship doesn't last long as they never have a second date.
16. What is the last name of Ned, Irene, Clu and Carey?

Answer: Bell

These characters shift presences in this show like a revolving door.

Carey does not appear in the first season, but does in the following two.
Clu is a main character in the first season, but has a significantly reduced presence in the second before appearing towards the end of season three.
Irene is around for seasons one and two and nearly completely absent in three.
17. In the episode 'Siren', why did Callie go back for her instrument?

Answer: Her father gave it to her

This episode was particularly notable, as the character Carey Bell was now newly-portrayed by Eric Lively. In it, the main focus is on the demonic entity known as a 'Siren'. In the end, Molly ends up substituting in for Callie's performance anyway.
18. In "Fountain", Fi is given a seemingly innocuous cup of hot chocolate. This isn't just any mug of cocoa, though. What does it end up doing to her?

Answer: Teleports her to the past

The effect seems to only take place within Fi, as she meets her friends and family at younger years which reflect having gone back in time. Fi has a monologue in which she posits what it would be like to go back to her sixth birthday. As if on cue, she takes a sip of the cocoa, and that's exactly what happens.
19. What kind of food does the troll turn Ned into?

Answer: Pumpkin

The troll is a male troll disguising itself as a Scandinavian woman. The troll tries to turn Fi into a cucumber and nearly succeeds.
20. Which of these is one of the OSSN's mottos?

Answer: "Sleep When You're Old"

This ends up being quite ironic, as the OSSN is really just a front covering for a group of vampires. On the surface, it appears to be a news broadcasting group. Quite the elaborate setup to hide the supernatural, but dare I say it's 'so weird' that it fits the identity of this show perfectly.
