Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What Indian city did racers travel to during Leg 3?

Answer: Kochi

Over the course of the teams' second Pit Stop, all racers were transported to their next destination city, Kochi, on the southwest coast of India, where they would start their third leg of the race. Teams began at a point on the edge of the West Coast Canal system and departed in the order they arrived at Mehtab Bagh in Agra the day before. To start, they had to grab a marked taxi and make their way to the Musical Walkway Bridge on Marine Drive to find their next clue.
2. Racers who completed the 'Stripe It' Detour task in Leg 3 had to paint people in what design?

Answer: Tiger

The Musical Walkway Bridge held the Detour clue for this leg. In 'Stripe It', racers headed to Ernakulam Thirumala Devaswom to meet the Puli Kali dancers. To get their next clue, racers needed to properly paint a dancer's belly with a tiger image to replicate the head dancer in order to receive their next clue. In 'Strike It', however, teams instead went to Maharaja's College Stadium to learn how to play kuttiyum kolum. If they could score one hundred points via the measurement method in the game, they could get their next clue.

Emma and Hayley, Alli and Angie, and Peter and Frankie chose 'Stripe It' while Darren and Tristan, Jana and Cor, Harry and Teddy, George and Pam, Ben and Jackie, and Bec and Kate all chose 'Strike It'.
3. Which team completed the Fast Forward task in Leg 3, skipping all other tasks by getting piercings?

Answer: Darren and Tristan

If racers were interested in pursuing the Fast Forward, presented to them after the Detour, they could proceed on foot to Parakkat Jewels to get further instructions. What they found when they arrived was that they could skip all tasks and head directly to the next Pit Stop, but only if they received nose piercings from the visited establishment. Once both team members had the studs placed in their noses, they would get their next clue. Darren and Tristan were the first to arrive and they succeeded in the challenge.
4. During the Road Block in Leg 3, racers had to learn how to drive which of these typical Indian vehicles?

Answer: Auto rickshaw

After the Detour was complete, racers opened their Road Block clue for this leg of the race and were tasked with selecting 'a fast learner'. Regardless of who was chosen, both team members needed to proceed to the Raja Driving School, and there, the Road Blocked racer needed to get behind the wheel of a tuk tuk and get their manual auto rickshaw license by navigating a training course to the approval of an instructor. Cor, Alli, Emma, Pam, Ben, Bec, Harry, and Peter completed this task.
5. Which team was last to arrive at the Pit Stop in Leg 3, finding themselves spared by a non-elimination point?

Answer: George and Pam

After the Road Block, teams had to hop into cab and then into a Shikara boat in the town of Kainakary to navigate to the Gopi Sundar House. One more task would await teams there as they had to eat a basket of thirty Changalikodan bananas. If they peeled a blue banana, they could trade it for one last clue.

Finishing out the leg, racers had to make their way to a Kettuvallam, a houseboat which would act as the host of the Pit Stop for this leg out on Meenappally Kayal. Darren and Tristan arrived first, boosted by their Fast Forward win, taking another night stay in a luxury hotel suite at the Pit Stop for this leg. George and Pam, however, arrived in last place (despite Jana and Cor forgetting their belongings twice). They were, however, spared by non-elimination.
6. The fourth leg of the race sent teams to Langkawi, an island in what Asian nation?

Answer: Malaysia

Over the course of the third Pit Stop, the nine remaining teams were transported out of India and to their next destination, the nation of Malaysia. Specifically, racers needed to start their fourth leg on the tropical island of Langkawi, off Peninsular Malaysia's coast in the Malacca Strait.

The overnight flight would get them to the airport in the early morning and they would depart in the order they arrived at the previous Pit Stop, hopping into vehicles and making their way to Telaga Harbour for their next clue.
7. At Telaga Harbour, the racers completing the Speed Bump had to clean up which of these?

Answer: The beach

Reaching Telaga Harbour Marina, most racers headed to the Detour but George and Pam needed to complete a Speed Bump first, having been spared from elimination in Leg 3. For this task, the pair needed to remain at the harbourfront and clean up a marked section of beachfront. Once the pair filled two large bags with litter, they would be able to open up their Detour and continue racing with the other teams.
8. Racers who completed the 'Eagle Eye' Detour task in Langkawi had to do so under which circumstances?

Answer: While parasailing

At the Telaga Harbour Marina, racers had to choose their Detour option, completing either 'Eagle Eye' or 'Mai Tai'.

In 'Eagle Eye', racers got into the spirit of adventure by jetskiing to the north of the island, harnessing up, and tandem parasailing in Datai Bay. From one hundred fifty meters up, racers had to spot a piece of art depicting an eagle. Back at the island, the team then had to purchase an eagle souvenir matching the shape of the eagle out in the water to get their next clue. Getting it wrong meant parasailing all over again.

In 'Mai Tai', teams jetskiied south to Pulau Rebak Besar, and deliver two mixed drinks to vacationers, transporting them on stand-up paddleboards to a boat out in the bay.

Ben and Jackie, Darren and Tristan, Alli and Angie, and Harry and Teddy completed 'Eagle Eye while Bec and Kate, Emma and Hayley, Jara and Cor, Peter and Frankie, and George and Pam completed 'Mai Tai'.
9. Team members completing the Road Block in Leg 4 had to replicate a fruit basket. Which racer finished the task?

Answer: Darren

Racers finishing the Detour could hop into a marked boat back to their cars and drive themselves to the Gua Pinang bat cave on Langkawi's northern coast. After passing through the tunnels there they would get their Road Block clue.

For this Road Block, both racers headed to a local fruit farm and the selected racer had to use provided fruits and accompaniments to make a proper exotic fruit basket, matching a single provided example all the way down to the bows and ribbons.

Darren, Kate, Cor, Angie, Hayley, Teddy, Frankie, Ben, and George completed this task.
10. Which team was eliminated from the race at the end of Leg 4?

Answer: Peter and Frankie

Finishing the Road Block, teams were told to drive themselves to the race's fourth Pit Stop on the water's edge at Tanjung Rhu Beach. There, Darren and Tristan managed to land on the mat in first place (again) despite all teams being at the Road Block at the same time, and they discovered that while victory would normally result in a luxury hotel stay as a prize, Beau asked them to keep on racing. They and the other teams ripped open their next clues and departed immediately.

This said, Peter and Frankie got lost en route and arrived on the mat in last place, and although the other teams kept going, they were eliminated from the race in ninth place.
