Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Racing through Delhi and Agra in Legs 1 and 2, were teams shown completing any Road Blocks?

Answer: No

Although these two legs of the race were run with Road Blocks completed, neither of these early episodes showed the tasks which took place before the Pit Stops in both Delhi and Agra, likely because they had no impact on team placement. This being said, in Leg 1 the unaired Road Block took place after the Detour at the Vasant Vihar Priya Cinema while the one in Leg 2 brought teams to the Taj Mahal, just before they headed to Beau at the mat.
2. In Leg 3, racers had to go to driving school to drive a tuk tuk. What was true about the vehicles driven?

Answer: They were manual.

Heading to Kochi, India in Leg 3, racers visited the Raja Driving School for their Road Block, selecting a member of each team to head through driving school. Visiting this establishment, the teammate had to hop into a tuk tuk, learn how to operate it (in manual), and complete the obstacle course to the approval of their local instructor.

Cor, Alli, Emma, Pam, Ben, Bec, Harry, and Peter were selected for this challenge. Neither Darren nor Tristan completed this task as they claimed the Fast Forward instead.
3. The Road Block in Leg 4 (in Langkawi) involved replicating which of these?

Answer: Fruit basket

Racers travelled around the Malaysian island of Langkawi, reaching a local fruit farm towards the end of their fourth leg. For this Road Block, the participating racers had to use local, exotic fruits to make a fruit basket with a provided example as their guide. Only when the basket, including all ribbons and bows, was completely replicated would they be able to collect their next clue and head to the Pit Stop to determine their fate. Darren, Kate, Cor, Angie, Hayley, Teddy, Frankie, Ben, and George were selected for this challenge.
4. In George Town, Malaysia in Leg 6, racers had to fashion a pair of which of these for the Road Block, following in the footsteps of a famous local designer?

Answer: Shoes

Jimmy Choo was the figure to keep in mind as teams located the Hong Kong Shoe Store in George Town, Malaysia as they would be seating themselves at the table where the famous fashion designer learned how to make shoes. Learning from Mr. Wong, the local cobbler, the selected racers had to cut the leather and construct a pair of high heels based on a provided example, getting their next clue only when they had both made. Jana, Alli, Bec, Tristan, Emma, Harry, and Pam elected to step into the designer's shoes.
5. A stressful eating challenge awaited Road Block racers in Leg 7 (in Siem Reap, Cambodia). What did they eat?

Answer: Spiders

Visiting the Asana Old Wooden House restaurant in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the remaining six teams had to stomach perhaps the toughest eating challenge of the season, waiting as their tarantulas and spiders were fried and then indulging in the local delicacy to get their final clue of the leg. Angie, Hayley, Tristan, Jana, Teddy, and Kate all had to help cook the food, then eat their meals (three spiders and four bowls of grubs and other assorted bugs) to clear the task and head to the Pit Stop. Bec and Kate took an hour-long penalty at the Pit Stop instead of taking the meal and it resulted in their elimination.
6. Racers who sifted jasmine rice in Cambodia in Leg 8 had to work through enough to produce what quantity for their Road Block?

Answer: A cup

After a day out on the waters of Tonlé Sap, racers docked and set foot back on solid land for their Road Block, a task that would ask one racer from each pairing to use traditional methods to prepare jasmine rice crops for sale. To accomplish this, the participants had to use a large mortar and pestle to crush the harvested grain, allowing the inner rice to be loosened from its shell.

Then, sifting the rice by tossing it into the air, they could grab the prepared grains and collect them in a cup that could be traded, when full, for their next clue. Emma, Alli, Darren, Cor, and Harry completed this task.
7. The Road Block in Leg 10 (in Borneo) involved a hike and a memory challenge. What did racers need to remember?

Answer: Masks

The city of Kota Kinabalu was merely a starting point for teams in Leg 10 as they were sent to the Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park on Gaya Island for the bulk of their tasks, inevitably reaching Padang Point to complete a Road Block. Here, racers needed to 'head hunt', and Emma, Angie, Darren, and Harry ended up making a lengthy hike through the rainforest searching for nine tribal masks hidden amongst the trees.

At the end of their hike, these racers needed to properly order the mask based on where they were seen on the route to get their next clue.
8. The penultimate leg of the competitions had racers using a blowgun for their Road Block. How many fruit targets did they need to hit?

Answer: Three

The final stretch of Leg 11 had the racers heading down the Sarawak Kanan River in Siburan, out in the jungles near Kuching, Malaysia. After a six kilometre ride down the river they had to start a Road Block in which one team member picked up a blowgun and used this traditional weapon to fire at fruit targets. If they could hit three targets, they could get one last clue and head to the Pit Stop. Tristan, Alli, Emma, and Teddy completed this task.
9. The final leg of the race, in Kuala Lumpur, featured two Road Block tasks.

Answer: False

Teams' last Road Block was encountered in Leg 11, which meant that they didn't see any solo tasks in Kuala Lumpur during the race's final leg. Generally, in legs that see two Road Blocks in quick succession, the racer who completed the first one would be barred from completing the second.

This would generally mean that going into the final leg, teams would need to have even distribution of Road Blocks between both team members.
10. How many Road Blocks were seen in this season of "The Amazing Race Australia"?

Answer: Seven

Although there were three episodes that did not have aired Road Blocks (Legs 1, 2, and 9), seven were seen over the course of the season with only Legs 5 and 12 lacking this typical race mechanic. Although most seasons of the race generally have a rule wherein racers must have equal Road Block distribution by the final leg of the race, it's not known whether or not this was maintained on this season. Of aired tasks, Darren and Tristan had even distribution (with three each, having missed one due to the Fast Forward) while Emma completed five to Hayley's two and Alli completed four to Angie's three.
