Let's take a surface level look at these Xbox 360 titles starting in chronological order of release.
"Kameo: Elements of Power" (2005) is a fantasy action-adventure game and Xbox 360 launch title where players control Kameo, an elf who can transform into ten different elemental warriors. The game features puzzle-solving and combat while battling trolls to save your family and kingdom. It was developed by Rare and showcased the console's graphical capabilities at launch, giving early adopters a taste of what the new generation could do.
"Perfect Dark Zero" (2005) was developed as a launch title for the Xbox 360 after Microsoft's acquisition of Rare in 2002. "Perfect Dark Zero" was originally intended to be ported to the Xbox and was a mere twelve months away from completion before being shifted to Xbox 360. Zero is a first-person shooter prequel to the original "Perfect Dark", following a younger Joanna Dark in her early days as a bounty hunter before joining the Carrington Institute. The game features a 14-mission campaign and extensive multiplayer modes with support for up to 32 players online which was almost unheard of at the time for a console game.
"Blue Dragon" (2006) is a Japanese RPG (JRPG) that brought classic JRPG gameplay to the Xbox 360 with its turn-based combat system inspired by the famed "Final Fantasy" series. The plot centers around Shu, the young protagonist who travels across the world with four other companions to stop the villain Nene using their shadow dragons. This was actually the first 3-disc game to debut on Xbox 360.
"Saints Row" (2006) is an open-world action game set in the fictional city of Stilwater, which is loosely based on real-world Detroit, Michigan. You join the 3rd Street Saints gang to take over territory from rival gangs, namely the Vice Kings, Los Carnales and the Westside Rollerz. The game features "Grand Theft Auto"-esque gameplay and has mission arcs available to play by earning respect points through various side activities. "Saints Row" launched as an Xbox 360 exclusive before the series crossed over to other console platforms after the commercial success of the first title.
"Crackdown" (2007) is a third person shooter in the action-adventure genre that puts you in the role of a cybernetically-advanced police force member of the Agents. Your primary objective is to rid Pacific City of crime by eliminating three criminal factions: Los Muertos, Shai-Gen, and The Volk. The game was popular enough to spawn two further sequels, and when it first released, it included a code for access to the "Halo 3" multiplayer beta, which definitely helped boost its sales.
"Lost Odyssey" (2007) first launched in Japan, followed by a 2008 release in North America. "Lost Odyssey" is a JRPG with turn-based combat gameplay and features a plot written by "Final Fantasy" creator Hironobu Sakaguchi himself. The game takes place in a fantasy world undergoing an industrial revolution where ancient magic is being harnessed through new 'Magic Engine' technology. The control and harnessing of this technology are the primary source of conflict for the warring nations in this game. The story centers on Kaim, an immortal who has lived for a thousand years and must reunite with other immortals, recover his forgotten past including memories of his lost family, and stop Gongora from destroying the world in his quest for ultimate power. At the time of its release, it was Microsoft's largest console game and first 4-disc game for the Xbox 360. Who else remembers those disc-swapping days?
"Fable II" (2008) is an action role-playing game set in the fictional land of Albion and serves as the sequel to "Fable" (2004) released for Xbox (360's predecessor). The plot centers around a generic hero whose mission is to stop the tyrant Lord Lucien from taking over the world. Gameplay offers lots of customization and choose-your-own adventure style gameplay where every action you make has an impact on your character arc and determines if your character is moral or immoral.
"'Splosion Man" (2009) is a unique platformer puzzle game where you control an explosive character who can blow himself up to jump, destroy obstacles, and solve puzzles through fifty single-player levels. The game features a distinctive art style, co-op multiplayer with unique levels, and requires quick reflexes, precise timing and strategy. It was developed by Twisted Pixel Games as an Xbox Live Arcade title. Due to the success of this title, a sequel "Ms. Splosion Man" was released in 2011.
"Kinect Adventures!" (2010) is one of the best-selling Xbox 360 games primarily due to being bundled with the Kinect sensor, a motion tracking peripheral system developed by Microsoft. "Kinect Adventures!" is an adventure themed-minigame collection featuring five activities: 20,000 Leaks, River Rush, Rally Ball, Reflex Ridge and Space Pop. Periodically throughout each activity, the Kinect sensor will capture embarrassing photos of you in unflattering positions which you can upload online if you so choose. The game received mediocre reviews due primarily to unresponsive motion capture.
"MotionSports" (2010) is one of the earliest games released for use with the Kinect sensor. "MotionSports" features six sports activities including skiing, soccer, boxing, horseback riding, hang gliding, and football designed for motion control gameplay. The game attempted to showcase the motion-sensing peripheral Kinect's full-body tracking capabilities but received mixed reviews for lack of motion control responsiveness and sensitivity issues.
"Gears of War 3" (2011) is Epic Game's third installment in the critically acclaimed "Gears of War" (GoW) franchise. "Gears of War" is a popular third person shooter series that continues the plot of Marcus Fenix fighting in the Coalition of Ordered Government's (COG) war against the Locust and a new foe, the Lambent in the third game. "Gears of War 3" added some new weaponry, notably the Retro Lancer and Digger Launcher to the existing iconic arsenal synonymous with the "Gears" series. The game also featured four-player campaign co-op, an expanded Horde 2.0 mode with buildable fortifications and defenses, and a brand-new Beast mode where you play as the Locust attacking human fortifications, which was basically the reverse of Horde mode.
"Forza Horizon" (2012) is the fifth installment of the "Forza" franchise, which is Microsoft's racing series rival to Sony's "Gran Turismo". Unlike the mainline "Forza" games, "Horizon" is an open-world experience centered around the eponymous Horizon Festival, which is essentially a casual car-meet themed Coachella. It brought a more arcade-style, festival atmosphere to the simulation racing series.
All of the listed incorrect options are Sony PlayStation titles and are not available to play on the Xbox 360.
