Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The 'Team Taylor' Bearing ends in one of three ways. Which is not a possibility?

Answer: Taylor drowns

'Team Taylor' is a Bearing that commences early in Act 1, shortly after Andrew awakens next to the crashed bus. Indecisive about John's plan to leave the bus and head into town, Taylor starts out with a lot of uncertainty, but her confidence can build with conscious choices and the development of her relationship with Daniel.

Bad choices will lock Taylor's worser traits, but she'll have one more chance to overcome those in the 'Reflections' chapter, when she fights back against her demon...provided she survives to this point.

Taylor bears a striking similarity to both Tabitha, in the distant past, and Tanya, in the more recent past. If Tanya died getting overwhelmed by the flames in the Clarke Family house fire, that will affect her fate in the other timelines. Similarly, attempting escape and strangling on her scarf will change that means of death. Alternatively, Taylor could avoid both of those situations and survive, but things really need to work out for that.
2. The 'Home Grown Hero' Bearing applies to Daniel's choices throughout the story. At the end of this Bearing's effect, Daniel will succeed if he can wield which of these against his demon double?

Answer: A metal pipe

Daniel's Bearing doesn't really kick off until he, Taylor, and possibly Angela encounter Mary at the playground near the start of the visit to Little Hope, and over the rest of the night he'll build himself up to be a noble fighter and stable voice...provided his choices head in that direction. He could save John during the demon attack at the church and he could help Taylor during her demon dight near the factory, and if he survives all of that and takes a positive turn, he'll be better-equipped to fight his own demon double in the basement of the factory building.

There, in a newly-created pit, Daniel will find himself somewhat cornered against the speared demon, and the more locked traits he has, the harder the encounter will be. If anyone stumbled upon and kept a gun, he'll get a bit of support via this means, but the biggest help will come in the form of a metal pole which, no matter how it ends up in the pit, can be used to keep the creature at bay long enough to make a run for it. If he survives, he'll reunite with the others outside and subsequently survive the night.
3. Vince is the subject of the Bearing titled 'The Stranger'. Your choices in dealing with Vince could result in which of these occurring?

Answer: The cops arriving in Little Hope

Although Andrew and the group will encounter Vince at the Black Cat Bar when they arrive in Little Hope and may recognize him cycling around in the middle of the night (or not, if they're occupied), it'll turn out that Vince was actually quite connected to the Clarke family, having dated Tanya around the time she died.

Perhaps the most pivotal moment for this Bearing will come when the group tries to take refuge in Little Hope's church, where he'll make the decision to either decry them or offer to help them, whether by seeking aid from anyone around or contacting the cops.

The truth is that Vince never really interacts with anyone in the group except Andrew, which should be a big hint as to the true nature of everyone's presence in the town.
4. What is the name of the Bearing that applies solely to Angela?

Answer: 'Deeper Understanding'

Angela's Bearing commences in the 'Confrontation' Chapter in Act 1, but develops early on as Angela is the first of the group to start encountering her demon doppelganger in the flesh. Since Amy was the first of the doubles in the past to be killed for her presumed affiliation with witchcraft, Angela is the quickest to be at risk. Angela can come across as very abrasive with the others in the group, often refusing help and contradicting everyone else's ideas, but if she opens herself up to working with the team instead of letting her judgements get in the way, she'll have a better chance of surviving the night.
5. Some of John's choices, as part of the 'Authority Figure' Bearing, involve which of these actions?

Answer: Drinking alcohol

The 'Authority Figure' Bearing is tacked onto John, whose doubles through history involve taking an overseer position; John himself is a university professor looking after the rest of the group, his students. Feeling like he needs to be the adult in the room, John wavers between giving firm, decisive actions and cowering, yet always seems to feel very uncertain about other peoples' interpretations of him.

He'll take the lead in several instances, but really overcome his own negative traits if he avoids being impulsive (like in avoiding the drink at the Black Cat or avoiding running away in the face of danger).
6. The 'Lost' Bearing applies solely to Andrew, who will be killed by his demon doppelganger if he makes the wrong choices.

Answer: False

Beginning, as a Bearing, when Andrew first encounters the ghostly appearances of Mary on his way into Little Hope, 'Lost' follows his journey through the adventure but only really effects his mortality at the very end of the story since he's the principal protagonist of "Little Hope". The story culminates in the (likely) understanding that Andrew is the only one of the group that's living and breathing in Little Hope; the others are just manifestations of his guilt after he was the only survivor of the Clarke house fire.

As such, since he survived (and his doubles both survived their timelines), Andrew never encounters a demon in the real world. He can still die, but only as a consequence of several other choices.
7. The spirit of 'The Little Girl' bearing will lead the characters to which location, where the final judgement in her trial can be determined?

Answer: The Clarke House

The first Bearing to develop, 'The Little Girl' is also the one that updates the most frequently throughout the story, punctuating all appearances of Mary/Megan as the group makes its way through town and the numerous visions they experience. Just like the others, there are doubles of this character throughout Little Hope; they'll see her as Megan Clarke, appearing in 1960s clothes leading the way around, and they'll see her as Mary, the young girl accused of being in league with the Devil. She'll claim innocence throughout, but only your choices will determine her fate.

'The Little Girl' leads you to the inevitable ending of the journey at the ruins of the Clarke House, where Megan (possibly) accidentally set the fire that killed most of the family.
8. The 'Tool for Survival' Bearing commences when which character locates a gun?

Answer: Andrew

The eighth and final Bearing in the list won't be the last one you find, but it could be the only one you don't find since it's only triggered by a certain series of events. After leaping from the covered bridge near the end of Act 1, John and Andrew (and possibly Angela) will head along a dirt path that drops them off, inevitably, at the back of the police station, but on this route they'll find a dilapidated hut. Andrew will enter this if he manages to keep his cool (in spite of a spooky, black cat) and he'll have the opportunity to search the two rooms for anything of interest.

Under the floorboards of the old bedroom is a small, unlocked box, and inside that is a revolver containing four bullets. Andrew will bring this 'Tool for Survival' with him, but technically, if Angela is with him, she can convince him to toss it in the woods, nulling its use in later parts of the story if that's the route taken. Otherwise, it could have the potential to change things drastically.
9. The gun collected as part of the 'Tool for Survival' Bearing can be used to fight off peoples' demons, but technically, it could also kill which member of the group (by accident)?

Answer: Angela

If Andrew keeps the gun, it can be used a number of times should you make the decision to fire it, and while some of these are to give your group the upper hand in battles against their demon doubles, some are a bit more dire. Some of these shots can be used to open fire on Taylor's demon during the rush to the church (which could affect Vince's decisions, when he finds himself nearby), and worse still, one of these bullets could be used to shoot a figure emerging from the fog early in Act 3. You'll probably want to refrain in this instance as the figure will only ever be Angela, provided she escaped the sewers, and she'll die as a result.

There are only so many bullets in the gun, keep in mind. It is possible to run out.
10. In the event that the 'Tool for Survival' is retained until the very end, it may be used on which of these people in the final moments of the story?

Answer: Andrew

Although the 'Tool for Survival' Bearing follows the acquisition of the gun, and this might not even be something you choose to hold onto throughout the story, it can come in handy in a handful of moments. Its final potential use is a bit nefarious, but it will only come into play if a number of criteria are fulfilled. If you get to the story's end without any of the other characters surviving their encounters with their doppelgangers and with Mary having been sacrificed in the past, Andrew will turn the gun on himself and fire provided he hasn't used all of the bullets.

It's a grim fate, for sure; of the eight possible endings Andrew may have, only one causes him to do this.
