Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Unfortunately, the main character's starting Persona, Orpheus, comes with a couple of nagging weaknesses. What is one of them?

Answer: Dark

While also being weak to Electric, the Dark weakness is more concerning. Because Dark Magic in this game consists strictly of insta-kill powers, and because the game immediately ends if the main character dies, carrying a Persona with a weakness to insta kill powers is incredibly dangerous.

As such, the player should endeavor to find a new Persona ASAP, or somehow figure out a way to mitigate this weakness.
2. Junpei Iori is quite the early game heavy hitter. He can run into issues before too long, however, as a good number of early game bosses are capable of exploiting his weakness. What is Junpei weak to?

Answer: Wind

The first two, fourth and fifth boss of Tartarus are capable of using Wind magic. This can make it risky to bring Junpei to these fights, as the enemy will receive an extra turn for each time they knock Junpei down by exploiting his weakness.
3. Yukari Takeba is notable for being just one of two members of the team to use a projectile as her 'physical' attack. What type of damage does Yukari's bow deal?

Answer: Pierce

Yukari has a slightly higher critical hit rate than the rest of the team, at the expense of doing less raw damage and being less accurate with her attacks.
4. Akihiko Sanada is notable for being more than just a physical tank- he can offer the team unique utility as well. Which of the following is he capable of?

Answer: Debuffing enemies

With access to useful skills such as Tarunda and Rakunda, Akihiko can provide useful debuff support that is particularly helpful during boss fights. This can make particularly challenging fights, such as against the likes of the dreaded Reaper, much easier to tackle.
5. Mitsuru Kirijo is the offensive powerhouse of the team, not counting the main character. This is because, at level 50, she gains access to a spell which can amplify her offenses to lethal heights. What does she get in this regard?

Answer: Mind Charge

With Mind Charge, Ice Amp and powerful -dyne skills in Ice to take advantage, Mitsuru is easily the most offensively potent member of the team, not counting the main character.
6. Fuuka Yamagishi joins the team to inherit one of Mitsuru's roles. What type of magic does Fuuka mainly use?

Answer: Nothing

Fuuka is the team's navigator. In "Persona" games, the navigator typically does not participate in combat, and Fuuka is not an exception to this rule.
7. The team's animal companion, Koromaru, is a dog with plenty to both its bite and its bark. Which of the following is a type of magic Koromaru can use?

Answer: Dark

With both Mudoon and Mamudoon in Koromaru's moveset, he is the only non-main character in the game to have access to an AoE instakill. With plenty of late game enemies being susceptible to Dark, Koromaru can potentially clutch a tough fight out with these skills.
8. Ken Amada's melee fighting style is very different to the rest of the team. What type of physical damage does he deal?

Answer: Pierce

With some type of spear or polearm as a weapon of choice, Ken's damage is more consistent but he doesn't have the critical hit rate when compared to Yukari Takeba, the other member of the team whose melee damage is Pierce.
9. Uniquely, when Aigis' persona evolves, it gives her the ability to learn a skill even the player themselves cannot acquire. What skill is this?

Answer: Akasha Arts

Akasha Arts inflicts Heavy Strike damage onto all enemies. It costs 99 HP to use and, unfortunately, it suffers from accuracy issues despite being quite powerful. It will not be learned until Aigis' persona Palladion evolves into Athena, which happens pretty late in the game.
10. The very last member to join SEES is Shinjiro Aragaki. However, this will be a short lived partnership, as Shinjiro will be killed in a cutscene, or rendered comatose. His life can only be saved if the player does what?

Answer: Maxes his social link

Shinjiro's social link is only available if the player selected a female protagonist. As such, those who chose the male character cannot save Shinjiro, and are doomed to permanently lose him from the entire game. Upon maxing Shinjiro's social link, the player will have had to locate and return to him a golden watch he lost.

It is this watch will take a bullet aimed at him by Takeya, instead of the bullet piercing into his body. This is what ultimately saves his life.
11. The player's use of the team can get a bit inflexible when they make it to the Paradigm room, and have to re-fight souped up versions of bosses they've already defeated. Which of the following is true about these fights?

Answer: The player's freedom of teammates is restricted

The player can only use teammates for a Paradigm room fight if those teammates were actually on the team when the boss was originally fought. For example, since only Yukari and Junpei were combat-able teammates during the Priestess boss fight, it is only possible to use these two for the rematch in the Paradigm room.

This room rewards the player for keeping their teammates active and preventing them from falling behind throughout the course of the game, while punishing players who do not do this. If the player removed Yukari or Junpei from their team as soon as they could and never re-added them, they would be extremely undergeared for the rematch with Priestess, will not do significant damage, and will likely die to one hit, even a resisted hit or a basic attack, from Priestess.
12. If a teammate becomes 'Sick', what happens to them?

Answer: Their stats are heavily nerfed

A teammate who becomes Sick will take 50% extra damage from all sources, deal half their usual damage, will have their accuracy reduced to 2/3rds its usual value, and will receive reductions of 20% to their max HP and SP. This is obviously extremely detrimental and, because an active Sick teammate can spread this illness, it is heavily recommended to not take a Sick teammate into Tartarus.
13. If the player returns to the dorm during the evening and a teammate asks the player to take them to Tartarus, this is an indication that this specific teammate has a particular status. What status will this teammate have, if the player does take them to Tartarus when asked?

Answer: Great

A teammate with the Great status has an increased critical hit rate, deals 25% extra damage, will more frequently cause missed melee attacks against them induce Stumble onto the offender, and will receive a 10% boost to their maximum HP and SP. Clearly, this would make this teammate a good idea to use if the player does decide to go to Tartarus when prompted.
14. According to Fuuka Yamagishi, the player will not be allowed to take the team to Tartarus if either of SEES' "senpai" are not present. Which of the following is one of two team members Fuuka is referring to when telling the player this?

Answer: Akihiko Sanada

If neither Akihiko or Mitsuru Kirijo are available, the player cannot go to Tartarus. The player doesn't actually have to use one of them in their active team, they just have to be available for use for the player to be allowed to go to Tartarus.
15. Towards the end of the game, SEES comes to realize that they have a massive decision to make. If Ryoji Makazuchi is killed, the cataclysmic event "The Fall" will be greatly delayed. If he is left alive, it will come in one short month and threatens to wipe out humanity. Which action of the following will immediately subject the player to the "bad ending"?

Answer: Killing Ryoji

The entirety of the team, minus Aigis, wants to avoid killing Ryoji. However, the player can decide, while they have Ryoji alone in their bedroom, to essentially betray the team and kill Ryoji themselves. If this is done, as Ryoji promises, the team loses their memories of pretty much the entire events of the game, including anything persona related, and the memory of SEES itself fades away as well. The game will flash forward to March of the same year, where The Fall takes place, wipes out humanity, and ends the game.

If the player chooses to let Ryoji live, the game will allow them to play through January, eventually confront the final boss of the game, and earn the game's "good" ending. As such, the clear call to make is to let Ryoji live.
