The murder took place at 2:30. This makes the Mr Monkey obstruction out to be very, very notable, as it made passage to and from Studio 2 impossible. Studio 2 is where the murder took place, meaning anyone not at Studio 2 would've had an alibi.

Answer: The Steel Samurai didn't win

In actuality, Cody witnessed Jack Hammer, in a Steel Samurai suit, falling to his immediate demise atop a steel gate. He was so upset over the Steel Samurai "losing" the fight that he did not take a picture of the event. It is likely that his unwillingness to accept his hero having been defeated led him to convince himself that Steel Samurai actually won.

Answer: It isn't actually Will Powers

The man in the picture cannot possibly be Will Powers. This is a relatively easy deduction to make, as the game stresses many times that Powers was taking a nap in the dressing room from 1-5 PM. There are sleeping pills and evidence that Powers' lunch was laced with them to back this alibi up.

As it would turn out, the man in the picture was bizarrely enough Jack Hammer, the victim. He had stolen Powers' suit while he slept and dressed in it to try and fool the site's security cameras into believing he was Will Powers.

Answer: It wasn't the murder weapon

The cause of death was indeed being impaled through the chest, but the Samurai Spear being the weapon was always just an educated assumption. In actuality, Jack Hammer approached the 2nd Studio Trailer because he wanted to murder Dee Vasquez. In self defense, she pushed him away from her, and the push was at just the right angle to where it would cause Jack Hammer to fall backward directly atop a steel gate surrounding the trailer. Thus, the murder weapon was actually a gate.

Right as the culprit orders their men to take Phoenix and his partner away, Gumshoe breaks down the door and proclaims he heard everything that was said, including evidence that would help bring the truth to light. He chases away the culprit's henchmen and safely escorts Phoenix away from the situation.

Answer: Dee Vasquez

Vasquez, in self defense, pushed Jack Hammer to his death as he fell atop a steel gate. She tried to cover it up by having her men and director Sal Minella help transport the body and remove the Steel Samurai costume. This was done with the intent of framing Will Powers for the act.

After proving Dee Vasquez' guilt in the manner, Will Powers' involvement was obviously cleared up. As a result, Will Powers would go on to be the Steel Samurai and, later, the Pink Princess that the kids' cartoon world needed.
