Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. These fall from the trees.

Answer: leaves

Actually 'leaves' could also signify pages in a book, or a verb, to name a few.
2. An object an artist might use.

Answer: easel

You can also make the word "lease" but I thought the art angle might be more fun.
3. A poetic word for meadows.

Answer: leas

Other anagrams that could be made from these letters are "seal" and "sale." (Also ales, but it's probably a good idea to stay away from the alcoholic beverages here.) :D
4. A body of water.

Answer: sea

For good poetry about the sea, check out John Masefield.
5. Word commonly used in similes.

Answer: as

This quiz is as easy as pie.
6. New word! Wax is used in the making of these.

Answer: candles

Candles made by the ancient Egyptians did not make use of a wick; the Romans are credited with developing the wick candle.
7. Fox trot, waltz, merengue.

Answer: dances

I could also have used "blank with Wolves" as the clue, but I'm not much of a Kevin Costner fan, sorry.
8. If you have a very high grade point average in college, you can make this list.

Answer: deans

Making the Dean's List is quite the accomplishment.
9. You'll find this at the beach--many times in your food, between your toes, and just about everyplace else!

Answer: sand

Some sand is magnetic; this type of sand usually contains black particles.
10. The game is over, so I am unhappy.

Answer: sad

:( Thanks for playing! :)
