Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Head he is hard

Answer: Eddie Izzard

Eddie Izzard is a British comedian and actor. Dyslexic, he rarely works from a script, preferring a stream-of-consciousness approach. John Cleese once referred to him as "the lost Python". For something completely different, in 2009 he ran 43 marathons in 51 days for the charity Sport Relief despite having never run in a marathon before.
2. Tea nef hay

Answer: Tina Fey

Elizabeth "Tina" Fey is a comedic actor. Starting on the American TV show "Saturday Night Live" ("SNL") she has gone on to movie roles and is the creator of the successful TV program "30 Rock", based on her "SNL" experiences. Her comedic impression of politician Sarah Palin proved so convincing that some of Fey's outrageous remarks when impersonating Palin have been mistakenly attributed to the one-time vice-presidential candidate.
3. Chair reel ewe sis

Answer: Jerry Lewis

One of America's best-known comedians, Jerry Lewis began his career in 1946, partnering with singer Dean Martin. The pair appeared on many television shows and starred in several movies before their breakup in 1961. Both went on to perform individually. Lewis became the host and driving force behind the Muscular Dystrophy Association's Labor Day weekend telethons.

He hosted the three-day events from 1966 to 2010, appearing on stage almost non-stop for the duration of each one. The telethons (which go on without him) have raised a total of well over 2-billion dollars (U.S).
4. Her pom arcs

Answer: Harpo Marx

Born Adolph Marx (which he changed to Arthur), the man most people know as Harpo was one of several siblings who were in vaudeville early in the 20th century, then in theater, and finally in movies as the Marx Brothers. Harpo's character never spoke in films but chased women and played the harp. He also seemed to have everything - including the kitchen sink - hidden inside his overcoat.
5. Mike sent it

Answer: Mack Sennett

Coming from Canada to the United States in 1887, Mack Sennett had the desire to become an actor. In 1912 he went beyond acting and founded Keystone Studios in Los Angeles, California. A proponent of slapstick comedy, Sennett's films were full of pie-in-the-face moments and wild physical comedy. The Keystone Cops were a Sennett production and actors such as Charlie Chaplin, Bing Crosby and W.C. Fields made their reputations in Sennett films.
6. Rode kneed angry feel

Answer: Rodney Dangerfield

I tell ya he "don't get no respect!" Rodney Dangerfield (born Jacob Cohen) began writing for stand-up comedians at age 15 and started appearing onstage himself at age 20 in 1941. He gave up show business from 1949 to 1960 and then developed his down-on-his-luck character. TV appearances and records led to movies, beginning with his role as Al Czervik in the 1980 movie "Caddyshack".
7. Bee leak rise tall

Answer: Billy Crystal

A native New Yorker, Billy Crystal graduated with a degree in Fine Arts from New York University in 1970. His career began by performing at stand-up comedy venues in New York. Those were followed by TV appearances and then a role in "Soap", a parody of soap operas. He had his own comedy show on the NBC network and hosted three Grammy Awards telecasts. Also working in movies, his credits include "When Harry Met Sally..." (1989) and "City Slickers" (1991).
8. Seeds ease her

Answer: Sid Caesar

Sid Caesar was one of the first television comedians, making his on-screen debut in 1950. He considered himself a 'sketch comic', relying on body language and visual gags, rather than a stand-up comedian. He later went on to be a cast member of several movies in the 1970s and '80s. Many writers on his shows went on to achieve fame themselves: Mel Brooks, Neil Simon and Woody Allen, to name some.
9. Cat thee grip pin

Answer: Kathy Griffin

Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Kathy Griffin, at age 18, convinced her parents to move to Los Angeles, California, to help further her desire to become an actress. Unable to get film roles, Griffin joined an improvisational comedy group. She evolved to a stand-up comic from there and eventually gained several movie and TV roles, including specials for the HBO and Bravo networks.
10. Chore geek airline

Answer: George Carlin

As much a social critic as a comedian, George Carlin is considered one of the most influential stand-up comedians of all time. Always one to point out society's foibles, Carlin's "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" routine was instrumental in a U.S. Supreme Court case concerning the Federal Communications Department's right to regulate obscenity on the public airwaves.
