Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What did Violet use as a drag chute to stop the caravan?

Answer: some hammocks

It's unbelievable how brilliant Violet is with her inventions. If I were ever in one of those situations, I probably would have tried to jump out, or died.
2. What color was Quigley's commonplace book?

Answer: purple

Like his brother Duncan, Quigley wrote down everything in his book.
3. Esmé fell into the trap at the bottom of the mountain.

Answer: False

The Baudelaires should have let Esmé fall into the trap. Then she would known how the Baudelaires felt in the Ersatz Elevator.
4. How did Olaf's tire get punctured?

Answer: Violet accidentally hit it with a fork

Violet must have hit the tire pretty hard. Even bike tires rarely get punctured with a fork.
5. Klaus climbed the waterfall with Quigley and Violet the first time.

Answer: False

Klaus stayed behind and did research in the ruins of the VFD library. There, he tried to crack the code of the Verbal Fridge Dialogue.
6. What were the names of Quigley's siblings?

Answer: Duncan and Isadora

The Baudelaires first met two of the three triplets at Prufrock Preparatory School, and they became fast friends.
7. What was Quigley's sister extremely good at doing?

Answer: writing couplets

Isadora gave the Baudelaires clues through her couplets in the "Vile Village." If only she were here now...
8. What type of knot did Violet use to fasten the forks to her feet?

Answer: Sumac

Violet had previously been using the Devil's Tongue, but she now uses the sumac in hopes of better luck.
9. What vegetable did Sunny hide in the casserole dish to fool Olaf?

Answer: eggplant

When Olaf was about to throw Sunny off the cliff, instead of Sunny, an eggplant fell by his feet. Sunny should have let Olaf think he had killed her.
10. Whose whereabouts did the Baudelaires claim to know about in exchange for Sunny?

Answer: the sugar bowl

The sugar bowl must mean a lot to Olaf if he is willing to give up the Baudelaire fortune for it. I cant wait for the next book to reveal all of the secrets!
