The wonderful multicoloured Ninky Nonk is a train that transports the characters around the garden. This train is very colourful, and has five carriages. It also can be seen climbing up a trunk of a tree, traversing branches upside down.

Makka Pakka loves to collect rocks, and when his friends in the garden find rocks, they give them to him. A collector of rocks is known as a petrologist. Makka Pakka likes to put his rocks into piles. He also likes cleaning, especially the other characters' faces.

There are ten members of the Pontipine family. Father, mother, four sons, and four daughters. They are distinctive as they all wear a similar red outfit. The male adult Pontipine has a moustache.
9. What colour are the The Wottingers?

Answer: blue

The Wottingers wear blue and they live in a semi-detached house next door to the Pontipines. Their shape resembles dolls made from pegs. There are ten Wottingers, and they are not seen in the programme in their beds.
10. Which character walks on The Stepping Stone Path?

Answer: Igglepiggle

Igglepiggle is the only character seen walking on the path. The Stepping Stone path leads to a structure known as a gazebo. The gazebo sits in the centre of the Night Garden.
