Jo, Grizel and Simone were the first pupils for the Chalet School. On the first morning they were expecting four day girls to arrive and instead found Gisela and Maria Marani, Bernhilda and Frieda Mensch, Gertrud Steinbrucke and Bette Rincini on their way to the school.
