The San Diego Zoo features six panda bears among their population, the most of any US zoo. Shamu the killer whale is found at Sea World along with hundreds of other marine animals, many of which you can interact with. Coronado Beach is just a small part of the 70 miles of beached located in San Diego. San Diego is a great place for families to spend their vacations together.

The Walt Disney World complex of attractions is more than enough to keep a kid busy for several days, but there's plenty more to do in the Orlando area than see Mickey Mouse. If you're there during the spring, it's a nice place to get close to some real life Major League ball players or maybe take in some movie making magic at Universal Studios. For the kids who are into space exploration, Kennedy Space Center is less than an hour's drive from Orlando.

The park's main attention getter is the geyser Old Faithful which erupts approximately every 91 minutes. There's always a crowd on hand for that event. There are also over 60 animals that call the park home including pronghorn, black bear, bison, lynx, elk deer and mountain lions among many others.

In addition to the water attractions, the hotel of Atlantis features a large casino, so even the parents will have some fun. Atlantis also features the world's largest marine sanctuary which inhabits several varieties of water animals including sting rays, sharks, tropical fish and piranhas.

The Atlanta experience wouldn't be complete without a visit to Centennial Park which is where the 1996 Summer Olympics started.
