The San Diego Zoo features six panda bears among their population, the most of any US zoo. Shamu the killer whale is found at Sea World along with hundreds of other marine animals, many of which you can interact with. Coronado Beach is just a small part of the 70 miles of beached located in San Diego. San Diego is a great place for families to spend their vacations together.

2. Who wouldn't want to spend the day with Mickey Mouse and his crew? But that's only a small part of what this city has to offer. Universal Studios, Sea World, Wonder Works and spring training for several Major League Baseball teams can also be found here. Which Florida city boasts these awesome attractions?

The Walt Disney World complex of attractions is more than enough to keep a kid busy for several days, but there's plenty more to do in the Orlando area than see Mickey Mouse. If you're there during the spring, it's a nice place to get close to some real life Major League ball players or maybe take in some movie making magic at Universal Studios. For the kids who are into space exploration, Kennedy Space Center is less than an hour's drive from Orlando.

3. Yellowstone National Park was the first National Park in the United States, and for good reason. The display of animal wildlife is amazing and catching a glimpse of Old Faithful as she erupts is a beautiful thing to see. In which US state is Yellowstone National Park primarily located?

Answer: Wyoming

Although most of the park is in Wyoming, parts of the park extend into Idaho and Montana as well. Yellowstone became a National park way back in 1872 when President Ulysses S. Grant signed a law proclaiming the park to be the first National Park in the USA.

The park's main attention getter is the geyser Old Faithful which erupts approximately every 91 minutes. There's always a crowd on hand for that event. There are also over 60 animals that call the park home including pronghorn, black bear, bison, lynx, elk deer and mountain lions among many others.

4. What kid doesn't love chocolate? There's a whole entire city located in Pennsylvania, USA, devoted to that dark, delicious treat. Which city is this?

Answer: Hershey

Of course, the Hershey Chocolate brand was founded in the city by Milton Hershey way back in 1894. In addition to the chocolate factory and offices, Hershey is also home to Hershey World, an amazing amusement park with over 60 rides and attractions. There's also a museum devoted to chocolate nearby and also a nice zoo for all of you animal lovers.

5. For the kids who love water parks, may I recommend Atlantis, an entire area modeled after the Lost City of Atlantis. There are so many pools and water slides that you'd need an entire week to swim in all of them. Where is this awesome place located?

Answer: The Bahamas

In addition to the water attractions, the hotel of Atlantis features a large casino, so even the parents will have some fun. Atlantis also features the world's largest marine sanctuary which inhabits several varieties of water animals including sting rays, sharks, tropical fish and piranhas.

6. The Smithsonian Institution is a series of museums and art galleries that would certainly delight most kids I know. Art, dinosaurs, space exploration, historical relics and other great artifacts can all be found at the Smithsonian. Where in the world can this place be found?

7. Myrtle Beach is one of the prettiest beaches on the east coast and is a top destination for families to visit. There are over 100 golf courses and over 50 miniature golf courses available for the gifted and novice golfers. Which US state is Myrtle Beach located in?

South Carolina has been a top destination for families for many years, in part thanks to the great weather and scenery along Myrtle Beach. There are amusement parks for the thrill seeker, water parks for the sun worshipers and plenty of aquariums for the nature lovers. Mom will even have a great time with all of the shopping centers in the area.

8. Las Vegas isn't just for gambling anymore; the city has become a great place for kids as well. When I get to go there, I like the Circus Circus hotel for their kid friendly attractions. Which US state is Las Vegas in?

The Circus Circus hotel in Las Vegas is a great place for kids. There are over 20 rides in the amusement park and if that's not enough for you, there are over 200 arcade games, laser tag and even miniature golf to keep you busy. The hotel has over 3,800 rooms, so there's always room for you to bring a friend.

9. Who wouldn't enjoy a vacation in Hawaii? The beaches, resort style hotels, luaus and surfing would be a great getaway. In which ocean is the US island state of Hawaii located?

Most people from the mainland who visit Hawaii will typically depart from one of the airports in California and fly over the Pacific ocean to reach Hawaii. Hawaii is composed of eight main islands, although there are many more lesser islands in the state. Hawaii is a target location for people looking for volcanoes as there are more active volcanoes there than any other US state.

10. This Georgia city is a good choice for vacations as there are tons of things to do. There's baseball with the Braves, football with the Falcons and basketball with the Hawks, so there's plenty of sports available. There's also a great amusement park and an aquarium as well in case you're not a sports enthusiast. Which US city am I talking about?

Answer: Atlanta

Atlanta is a large city with small town appeal. There's plenty to keep a kid's interest in Atlanta. Six Flags Over Georgia is a really nice amusement park that is open nearly year round due to the nice weather. The Georgia Aquarium is the world's largest and their are plenty of water animals to see.

The Atlanta experience wouldn't be complete without a visit to Centennial Park which is where the 1996 Summer Olympics started.
