Answer: Arctic Tern

Out of the four answers, the Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) is the odd one out. The hare (Lepus arcticus), fox (Vulpes lagopus) and wolf (Canis lupus arctos) are all mammals and the tern is a bird.

The Arctic tern is a medium sized seabird which breeds in the Arctic and sub-Arctic regions of Asia and Europe and North America. This bird is also known as a sea swallow and feeds mainly on fish. It migrates annually to Antarctica spending the summer months in each hemisphere.

Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment for attempting to assassinate Gerald Ford in 1975. She pointed Colt semi automatic pistol at him, but there was no bullet in the chamber. Her explanation, "I stood up and waved a gun (at Ford) for a reason", said Fromme. "I was so relieved not to have to shoot it, but, in truth, I came to get life. Not just my life but clean air, healthy water and respect for creatures and creation." She was a follower of Charles Manson, but not implicated in the Tate/La Bianca murders.

John Flammang Schrank attempted to assassinate Theodore Roosevelt in 1912. The bullet he fired struck Roosevelt in the chest after hitting his eyeglasses case and the copy of the speech he was about to deliver. With the bullet lodged in his chest, he still managed to speak for ninety minutes. The bullet remained lodged in his chest until he died several years later. Schrank claimed that the ghost of William McKinley (25th US President) made him do it.

John Hinckley Jr. attempted to assassinate Ronald Reagan. Reagan was struck with a bullet, but only due to the fact that it had ricocheted off a car. A number of Reagan's staffers were injured, worst of these was Press Secretary James Brady. Hinckley was allegedly obsessed with actress Jodie Foster and this was an attempt to impress her.

Leon Czolgosz was the assassin responsible for taking the life of William McKinley in 1901. He shot the president with .32 caliber Iver Johnson "Safety Automatic" revolver at point blank range. The first bullet ricocheted off a button, but the second lodged in McKinley's abdomen and the spread of infection from the wound caused him to die eight days later.

"Seabiscuit"(2003) featuring Tobey Maguire and Jeff Bridges, is a film based on the 2001 novel "Seabiscuit: An American Legend" written by Laura Hillenbrand. Seabiscuit was a champion racehorse from the 1930s.

"Flicka" (2006) featured Alison Lohman, Tim McGraw and Maria Bello. Based on a children's book written in 1941, called "My Friend Flicka". Flicka is a wild horse with which the protagonist Katey establishes a connection.

"Balto" is a 1995 animated film released by Universal Pictures, featuring the voice talents of Kevin Bacon, Bridget Fonda, Phil Collins and Bob Hoskins. Balto is a wolf-dog hybrid who desperately tries to fit in. He has the opportunity to exhibit extreme bravery to save a little girl and is seen as a hero. The film is loosely based on a true story of a dog named Balto who bravely helped save children from the diphtheria epidemic in 1925 in Alaska.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is an American rock band, formed in 1964 in Florida. The band originally formed as the band My Backyard, but changed their name in 1969. Formed in Los Angeles in 1964, The Byrds' original line-up consisted of Jim (Roger) McGuinn (lead guitar, vocals), Gene Clark (tambourine, vocals), David Crosby (rhythm guitar, vocals), Chris Hillman (bass guitar, vocals), and Michael Clarke (drums). They recorded the number one pop hit "Turn!Turn!Turn!" in 1965.
