Answer: Muscat

OMAN, located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula is the country concealed in the sentence: "It's time for rOMANce." Muscat is its capital and its Muscat Clock Tower is the oldest monument in modern Oman.

About 75% of Oman's population is Muslim. Before 1970 there were hardly any hotels in the nation. But now, with tourism being a major industry, there are hundreds of hotels all over the country which is about 1/32nd the size of the United States.
2. "It was a fine palace indeed."

Answer: Kathmandu

NEPAL a country landlocked between India and China, is also landlocked within "It was a fiNE PALace indeed." Kathmandu, the largest city in Nepal, is also its capital with a population of 1.5 million.

The Nepal flag is the only flag of all the nations' flags, that is not rectangular shaped. It is shaped from two triangles, one above the other. Marijuana, being a weed, grows all over Nepal--in gardens, roadsides, mountain sides. Nepal is home to Mount Everest, Earth's highest mountain.
3. "It's fine to be nine-years-old."

Answer: Porto Novo

BENIN, located in West Africa, is also located in the following sentence: "It's fine to BE NINe-years-old." Porto Novo, on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea is Benin's capital.

Benin and the region it's in was a French colony from 1900 to 1958, and Benin was called Dahomey prior to 1975. Almost a third of Benin's land area is agricultural while about 40% of its land area is forest.
4. "There was an abnormality on the map."

Answer: Bamako

Twice the size of Texas, MALI is the largest country in West Africa and is concealed in the sentence "There was an abnorMALIty on the map." Located on the bank of Africa's third largest river, the Niger, lies Mali's capital city, Bamako.

Formerly Mali was known as West Sudan. In Gao, Mali, one can stand between two hemispheres simultaneously, since the prime meridian line passes through it.
5. "If it's beyond Ida's reach I let her stand on a foot stool."

Answer: Santiago

CHILE is the country hiding out in "If it's beyond Ida's reaCH I LEt her stand on a foot stool." Santiago is its capital city.

Comprised 80% of mountains, Chile is located in southern South America, running up the western coastline against the Pacific Ocean. All those mountain regions in Chile are known to have many volcanoes. The Tropic of Capricorn crosses northern Chile. Easter Island is actually an overseas territory belonging to Chile.
6. "The albatross's wingspan amazed the ornithologist."

Answer: Panama City

Tip your hat to PANAMA, the country hidden within "The albatross's wingsPAN AMAzed the ornithologist." The aptly named Panama City is its capital.

Ahhh, Panama, the only place in the world where you can see the sun rise over the Pacific and set over the Atlantic. Yes, you read that correctly. That's due to its winding shape. Take a look at a map and you'll see why that's possible. You'll find it there at the bottom of Central America. Oh and my "tip your hat" joke is a bit of a false fact, as Pananma hats are actually made in Ecuador.
7. "The showbiz ambiance of the posh club was welcome."

Answer: Lusaka

ZAMBIA is the landlocked nation you'll find in "The showbiz ambiance of the posh club was welcome" and Lusaka is Zambia's capital.

Formerly known as Northern Rhodesia, in 1964 its name was changed to Zambia. Located in southern Africa, Zambia is a little bit bigger than Texas, it shares a border with Angola, Zimbabwe and Tanzania. It has a tropical climate, while 36% of its population live in towns and cities. Its natural resources include coal, emeralds, gold, and lead. With a terrain composed mostly of high plateaus, altitudes in Zambia range from 329 meters to 2,301 meters.
8. "The movie's antihero maniac challenged viewers to root for him."

Answer: Bucharest

ROMANIA is the country in question here in "The movie's antiheRO MANIAc challenged viewers to root for him." Bucharest is the capital of Romania.

What is now Romania used to be composed of three regions: Valahia or Tara Romaneasca, Moldova, and Transylvania. It became known as Romania in 1859 when Valahia and Moldova joined together and then a little later in 1918 Transylvania joined as well. Romania has one of the largest wildlife refuges in Europe for bears and wolves (and vampires maybe?). The country also has perhaps the biggest gold deposits of any European mountains.
9. "Because of the bullet's caliber I assumed it would do more entry damage."

Answer: Monrovia

LIBERIA is the nation you must liberate from the sentence: "Because of the bullet's caLIBER I Assumed it would do more entry damage." Monrovia, whose original name was Christianopolis, is Liberia's capital and thus the correct answer to choose.

Roughly the size of Tennessee, Liberia is in Africa and shares borders with Côte d' Ivoire, Guinea, and Sierra Leone. Liberia's Sapo National Park is the second-largest tropical rainforest in West Africa. Its inhabitants include chimpanzees, duiker antelopes, elephants, giant forest hogs, leopards, and the rare mammal species known as the pygmy hippo.
10. "If you're looking for your jersey, Chelle's Seafood Bar and Grill on Hollywood Blvd. called to say they had it."

Answer: Victoria

SEYCHELLES, is the teeny tiny country (two and a half times the size of Washington DC) located in the big sentence, "If you're looking for your jerSEY, CHELLE'S Seafood Bar and Grill on Hollywood Blvd. called to say they had it." Its capital is Victoria.

Seychelles is indeed a very small island nation with a tropical marine climate in the ocean east of Africa. Well it's 115 islands actually, and of those only 33 are inhabited. There are no rivers or lakes and its highest mountain is Morne Seychellois, only 905 meters above sea level. Over half the population live in cities or towns, and its natural resources include fish, cinnamon and copra (the dried meat of the coconut).
