Ely takes its name from the Anglo Saxon for Eel Island, that type of fish having been common in the surrounding fenland. Oliver Cromwell was a 17th century resident of the town.

Elgin's most famous landmark is the ruined 13th century cathedral, nicknamed the 'Lantern of the North'. Nowadays, the town's economy relies heavily on the nearby RAF bases at Kinloss and Lossiemouth.

Edinburgh has been capital of Scotland since 1437. The new Scottish Parliament has met in the city since 1999.
10. Which district of London was, until it was demolished in 2017, famous for its Exhibition Centre, as well as the large numbers of Australian exiles living there?

Answer: Earl's Court

Earl's Court is named after a farm which stood on the site in the 19th century. The Exhibition Centre was one of the most popular venues for major rock concerts in London.
