Answer: Fort William

At 4,409 feet, Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Great Britain. Fort William lies at the foot of the mountain at the head of Loch Linnhe.
2. Which Yorkshire town was the site of a Butlin's holiday camp from 1945 until 1983, and lies at one end of the 93 mile Cleveland Way?

Answer: Filey

Filey was the location of the first Butlin's resort to open after World War 2. The eastern end of the Cleveland Way is at Filey; the western end is at Helmsley.

Answer: Fishguard

Fishguard was the site in 1797 of an invasion by French troops under the command of an American, Colonel William Tate, who were attempting to overthrow King George III. The attempt ended in failure.

The air show has been held in Farnborough since 1948. The town is also the burial site of Napoleon III of France.

Forfar was the county town of Forfarshire, which was renamed Angus in 1928. The famous bridies have a filling of beef and onions.

Fleetwood is the northern neighbour of the famous seaside resort of Blackpool, but with the decline in the deep-sea fishing industry has had to seek holidaymakers of its own in recent years. The Blackpool tramway has its northern terminus in the town.
