Wexford is located in the south eastern corner of Ireland, it measures 908 sq miles, and was given its Charter by King John in 1210. The name was derived by the Danish name 'Weissfjord' and is also known as 'Loch Garman'.

Answer: Longford

'The Longford Collector' is a lively and well know reel played throughout Ireland, not just in Longford.

Answer: Down

The Ards Peninsula curves out of Northern County Down and forms 'Strangford Lough' with the rest of the county.
4. How many counties in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland have a coastline?

Answer: 18

They are: Louth, Meath, Dublin, Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Clare, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, Derry, Antrim and Down. The remaining fifteen are inland counties but with all the loughs you are never that far away from the water. Armagh and Kilkenny have some access to the sea at inlets, but no real coastline.

Carlow is a small county between Kilkenny and Wexford and does not contain any major loughs.

Lough Neagh is the largest lough in Ireland it is bordered by the counties Antrim, Derry, Armagh, Down and Tyrone.
10. Which county is known as 'The Garden of Ireland'?

Answer: Wicklow

Wicklow is said to have more trees than any other county in Ireland, it is situated to the north of county Wexford on the east coast. It is famous for the 'Wicklow Mountains' and is also where the series of 'Ballykissangel' was filmed.
