1. Where am I if I have decided to enjoy some coffee and flan in the oldest and one of the highest capital cities of South America?

Answer: Quito, Ecuador

Founded in 1534, Quito is located so high in the Andes mountains that in the afternoons there is a gray mist in the city that is actually clouds. It is a combination of modern apartment buildings and old wooden houses. The downtown area has skyscrapers sitting beside churches that are hundreds of years old.

In the western side of the city is a hill with a beautiful 135 ft. (41m) statue of the Madonna that watches over the city. It can be seen in the far background in this image. The countries sweet, dark coffee goes wonderfully well with the creamy custard-like desert known as flan.

Answer: Foynes

Foynes is a lovely port village in the county Limerick,Ireland. This lovely village is home to The Foynes Flying Boat Museum which is home to many planes and other memorabilia from the World War II era. Located on the Red Sea, Mocha was one of the most important coffee importing/exporting cities in the Middle East for centuries. For over a century, the city was enclosed by a brick wall which was surrounded by a labyrinth of straw houses. The city's population was decimated in the 18th century by a plague. Today, this is a town to visit if you would like to see the culture of Yemen and meet the friendly people who live there.

While enjoying this sweet coffee and chocolate candy, I would be able to watch the slow moving Almendares River.
