6. Started under the shogun in 1633 to help limit the excesses of colonialism, "sakoku" was the Japanese policy where which of the following was highly restricted in Japan?

Answer: the entrance of foreigners

Sakoku severely limited the number of foreign nationals that could enter the country and the restricted the reasons they could be there. The policy also didn't allow regular Japanese citizens to leave the country and then return. One of the biggest reasons this policy was put into place was to limit the spread of Christianity in Japan along with the Spanish and Portuguese nationals who would have been more than happy to destabilize the shogunate government.
