Africa first contributed through South Africa. Oceania first contributed through Australia and New Zealand, joining the war same day as Britain. South America contributed through Brazil about halfway into the war.

It joined on August 9, 1945 - after Operation August Storm.

Answer: Thailand

Before the war, Thailand was an ally of Japan. However, only hours after Pearl Harbor, the Japanese invaded, and the resistance was called off not much later.
4. Which side(s) was Bulgaria on during the war, and in what order?

Answer: Axis, then Allies

Bulgaria joined the Axis on 1 March 1941 by signing the Tripartite Pact. It switched on 4 September 1944, after the U.S. and Britain launched heavy bombings, and the Red Army was nearing the Romania-Bulgaria border.

During the course of the war, 26 countries were the original signatories of the 1942 declaration and 3 more signed that year. In 1943, 5 countries signed, and in 1944, 2 more signed. Finally, with 11 more signatories in 1945, the final total was 47. There were more members of the Allies; however, they did not sign the declaration.
