Answer: Arado Ar 234

Although made in limited numbers the Arado Ar 234 was the first jet bomber to enter service in Germany, but it came too late to turn the tide in Hitler's favor. This extremely fast bomber could fly faster than most Allied fighters of the day.
2. What was the biggest single seat and engine fighter of the war?

Answer: P-47 Thunderbolt

The P-47 Thunderbolt had 8 x.5" machine guns and carried 2,500 pounds of bombs for ground attack. Because of its size the P-47 could dive faster than any of its opponents.
3. What was the successor to the SBD Dauntless dive bomber?

Answer: SB2C Helldiver

The SBD Dauntless was most famous for crushing the Japanese fleet at Midway. The SBD was one of the first monoplane torpedo bombers in navy service.

The F2A buffalo was no match for the A6M Zero. The Buffalo was a failure in the pacific because of its low power. The buffalo was used with some success with Finland who used it against soviet fighters in the early stages of the war.
