Narvik was taken by Germany during the Norway Campaign.

Copenhagen was also occupied by the Germans when they invaded Denmark.

The Siege of Leningrad lasted from 8 September 1941 till 27 January 1944 (872 days later), with the Red Army victorious. It is acknowledged as one of the longest sieges ever. The death toll, especially among the civilian population, was extremely high. (At least 680,000 Soviet civilians perished) .
