Giorgio loves a woman named Clara. When he goes into the military, he writes letters to Clara. While there, Giorgio meets Fosca, the sister of his Colonel. Fosca falls in love with Giorgio, who does not love her at the present time. Fosca ends up showing Giorgio what true love is and Giorgio's world comes tumbling down as he realizes he loves Fosca as well and must leave Clara behind.

The story of a power-hungry stage mom (Rose) who pushes her children into show business. Rose believes that her younger daughter June has more talent than the older Louise and builds her acts around June until June marries at a young age and leaves Rose, Louise and their agent/Rose's love interest Herbie alone. Rose is determined to build a whole new act around Louise and will do anything for her daughter to become a star.

She ends up causing Herbie to leave when she volunteers the young Louise to strip in the "star spot" in a strip club. Louise likes her new job and becomes the infamous Gypsy Rose Lee, leaving her mother behind. Rose is all alone and laments about her unappreciative daughters and unfulfilling life.

In the end, mother and daughter (Rose and Louise) are re-united and the two go on without Herbie.

This show tells the Creation story as it appears in the Bible with Adam and Eve and their lives after being thrown out of the Garden of Eden.

She proves that she is perfect after completing all of the evil Queen's absolutely impossible tests (one of which includes feeling a pea under many many mattresses). With a little help from her friends in the castle, Winnifred and Prince Dauntless are married and live "happily ever after".

Based on the true story of conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who performed in the early 1900's. One loves performing and the other does not but they compromise and find love.

A story that is chronicled going backward in time (1976-1957).

Based on a true story about a man who is wrongfully accused of murdering a young factory worker in the early 20th century. Everyone except his wife and governor are against him. During his trial, false testimonies of several "witnesses" are given and he is found to be guilty and is lynched by a mob at the show's end.

Sarah and Coalhouse had been lovers but they had been torn apart and Coalhouse wants her back. They are re-united and Coalhouse promises a better life for them and their child. Sarah is soon killed and after much drama, Coalhouse leaves his men and tells them to go out and tell their story. Upon leaving the building, Coalhouse is shot and later in the story, "Father" is also killed. "Mother" is left to care for the children from now on.

One of Stephen Sondheim's more well-known musicals, it contains the songs "Being Alive", "You Could Drive a Person Crazy", "Another Hundred People" and "The Ladies Who Lunch"

The story of a young peasant girl who prays to find love and falls in love with a rich boy on her island after saving his life. The show chronicals Ti Moune's journey to find the young Daniel and her eventual death when she gives her life for the boy she loves.

She is granted eternal life by the Gods Asaka (Mother of the Earth), Agwe (God of water), Erzulie (Beautiful Goddess of love) and Papa Ge (Sly Demon of death) by the show's end.

The story takes place in Nazi Germany where Sally Bowles, an eccentric night club singer finds love with a timid English writer. The show deals with the complications that several characters face including Herr Schultz, the Jewish fruit merchant. Schultz is discriminated against because of his religion and his love interest Frauline Schneider cannot marry him because he is a Jew. Along the way, Sally becomes pregnant and has an abortion, to give up her life with Cliff and go on with show business.

The Emcee, a frightening character throughout the show, deals with problems of his own in the show's final scene.
